KitchenAid built-in dishwasher: With plenty of options, including heated-dry and delay-start, you can wash dishes your way. The ProScrub option eliminates the need for soaking with 40 spray jets, and a low noise level ensures quiet operation.

Not working after 1 week of use

After much research, I chose this Kitchenaid model KDTE254ESS to replace our 10 year old Bosch. We used it for 1 week. It's performance was good. Not spectacular. Just before Thanksgiving it decided not to complete a wash cycle and gave us a blinking light. We attempted to cancel, drain and reset the machine. After flipping the breaker we got it to drain but still the blinking light. We looked for solutions in the user manual and online but had no success. The dishwasher is unusable. A service call has been placed. We'll see what happens.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Update

Kitchenaid responded quickly to our call for service. A technician came today and determined the clips holding the control board to the unit had broken causing it to drop out of place. This resulted in a lack of communication between the control board and the user interface. A new control board and user interface are on order. There is no ETA on the control board, so according to the technician it may be weeks before the new part is available. We are continuing to wash dishes by hand anticipating the arrival of the parts.
