good TV for the money

This Sharp 32 inch TV is one of the few 1080p TVs in the lower end of the price spectrum. The TV has an excellent picture and the sound is actually decent consider the size of the screen. Would consider best suited for a bedroom or dorm. Also could be used as a computer monitor if tower or laptop has an HDMI output. Excellent value for the dollar.

The sixth season of this crime drama opens with Beckett (Stana Katic) accepting a marriage proposal from Castle (Nathan Fillion). However, their road to the altar gets a little bumpy when Beckett also accepts a new high-profile job in Washington, D.C. Meanwhile, things don't go smoothly for Castle and Alexis (Molly Quinn) when he doesn't approve of the new boyfriend she's brought home from Costa Rica. Castle gets a glimpse at what parenthood would be like a second time when he and Beckett temporarily care for a baby who was carried into a church by a man dying from gunshot wounds. And Ryan (Seamus Dever) and his wife excitedly prepare for their first child, but she goes into labor while Ryan is investigating a dangerous arson case.

Castle still reigns at the top

The sixth season of Castle continues to solve the crime of the week with the overall story arc of Castle and Beckett's romance. We have a few silly shows such as the 70's themed episode and the return of Castle's father. As usual, we have a season ending cliff hanger with Castle being driven off of the road and Beckett running to the scene in her wedding dress. The story lines as always are well written and captivating. Hope that season seven does not lose the magic that developed over the series once Castle and Beckett are finally married.

Great remake of a classic

The action still continues on Hawaii Five-O. Danny appears to have a new love interest, Steve has mommy issues (who would not with a spy for a mother), Kono has continued problems with her reformed gangster boyfriend and Catherine becomes part of the team but leaves in the later part of the season. The only complaint I have in regards to the show is a lack of a Blu Ray release for the beautiful scenery in Hawaii.

Ever since their daughter was born, it was only a matter of time before Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and Booth (David Boreanaz) finally tied the knot. And while they do say "I do" in Season 9 in a TV wedding for the ages, it's not before an unforgettable proposal that involves the diabolical Christopher Pelant (Andrew Leeds), whose obsession with Brennan brings them closer than they've ever been. Of course, the couple's honeymoon in Buenos Aires turns into a busman's holiday when they help a detective investigate the murder of a Nazi war criminal. Back at the Jeffersonian, Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) discuss having another child; Sweets (John Francis Daley) takes a leave of absence; Cam (Tamara Taylor) is the victim of identity theft; Clark (Eugene Byrd) writes a novel; and Wendell (Michael Grant Terry) is jolted by news that could affect his future at the lab.

Bones continues without decay
on October 23, 2014

Bones has held our attention for nine seasons and counting. In this season we finally see the death of Pelant and a new serial killer emerge, the ghost killer. We finally see Booth and Bones marry but also see Booth arrested and in jail. The only complaint I have is the studio refusal to release a Blu Ray version. This is the year 2014 and HD televisions need a 1080p source for optimal viewing.

Classic crime drama

CSI Season 14 only confirms that the series has aged like a fine wine. Unlike many series that have gone on for years this show has managed to change and still hold the attention of the audience. Long term cast members have left and replacements have been promoted within the series or replaced by new hires. You will not be disappointed in the continued series which is on its way to becoming a classic.

Post Apocalyptic Sci-Fi Series
on October 21, 2014
Posted by: TVCritic
The 100 is a post apocalyptic sci-fi offering that has many elements typical of the genre. We start off about 100 years after the surface of the Earth was destroyed in an atomic war. Thirteen nations have orbital space stations and when the thirteenth is destroyed a truce is eventually called and the remaining station unite physically forming the Ark, what is presumed to be the last remnant of the human race. The Ark has a very dysfunction society were all crimes are punished by execution (floated out of an airlock). Juvenile offenders are reviewed at age of 18 and may be spared. Out story opens with Clarke being taken out of juvenile detention to be sent to Earth to see if the planet can support life, since the Ark is dying. Many elements of the first few episodes borrow from the Lord of the Flies and other science fiction works. The 100 find out in a matter of a few episodes that they are indeed not alone on the planet and the situation worsens on the Ark when over 300 people are "removed from the life support grid" which is polite language for them to be killed to allow the remaining people to live. The culling was voluntary but along with the political fighting that was shown and death of likable main characters revealed a very dark undertone at times in the series. The dark undertone was similar to Stargate Universe. We are left at the end of the season with the remnants of the 100 being taken to what appears to be a surviving military bunker. The ending of the first season has a deja vu appearance similar to Jeremiah season one. Overall a good sci-fi effort but only combines elements already seen in the genre with no new ground breaking plot or story lines so far. Look forward to season two. Blu Ray picture quality is excellent.
