BrokeCollegeGirl14's Reviews

The RS 160 is a two-part headphone system, powered by a couple of NiMH batteries and a transmitter that connects to your output device. It's very simple to set up as the whole system is plug and play. This compact and portable transmitter utilizes Kleer's uncompressed digital wireless audio transmission. It offers an effective range of 20m (line of sight), and can serve up to four pairs of headphone.

First of all, let me begin by saying that I'm no spoiled brat that just buys the hottest electronics. I'm a broke college student working to pay my way through, so it took me a long time to decide to make this purchase (I got a bonus at work haha!!) and I have not been disappointed! Additionally, this review is coming after I've had the headphones for four months.
Okay, well I will say I have bit of an addiction to headphones/speakers and I have some sort of sound going on while I shower, in my bedroom, a pair (headphones) for working out, travelling, and I was looking for a pair that I could go wireless while I do things around my apartment. I've tried both sets of Sony wireless headphones (the ones that hook up using bluetooth as well as the ones with a setup similar to this one) and I wasn't satisfied until I ran across these. Overall I love the sound quality and it cancels noise like no other! I can't even hear my terrible singing over the music and I don't even have to blast the music to achieve it! I've been able to pick out little things in the beats of the songs that I haven't been able to enjoy with other headphones/speakers and the ear cups make them extremely comfortable to wear for a long period of time (rather than having your ears smashed by the other flat types). They're ergonomic (I have a big head lol) and I only felt uncomfortable for the first few times I wore them and then they relaxed a bit like a pair of new shoes.
There are not many downsides to these headphones except that if you want that crazy bass, you won't find it here, but you also won't be disappointed. Coming from a person who would take bass over anything, these are phenomenal! The clarity is out of this world. Additionally, I was able to walk all around my mom's large house (just under 3000 sq ft) up and downstairs with these on and the quality of the sound never let up. On the downside, I walk around my tiny apartment and the sound stops quite often (unlike others, when you get too far from the base, it doesn't crackle, it just beeps once and cuts out and then regains it's sound when it can). I realized that the more walls that come between you and the base, the weaker the signal; my mom's house is very open with minimal walls, so that's probably why it worked out. I also wish these had a stand to hang on like other wireless sennheisers I saw because I don't like my headphones to just lay there when they have a gap between the cushions for hanging. Anyway, I'm sure I've written too much but these were a wonderful buy!
What's great about it: Comfort Comfort Comfort!! And super clear sound
What's not so great: No thumping bass like I like it
I would recommend this to a friend!
