If you are looking for a done that can fit in you pocket and pull out when you want to grab that quick video shot or selfie then this is the drone for you, only con it has is the battery life is only about 6-7 minutes, this is not a drone for people that want to shot professional video just little clips that you can use to share with your friends and social media, it does have some cool advanced feature like follow me and orbit and selfie modes, drone had EIS (electronic image stabilization ) lens can be adjusted for different angles for getting different shots, you can charge the battery using the USB charger with your cell phone charger or other device. flight range is about 300 feet using your Phone with android or IOS app.

I'm a owner of the Original Gopro, the Gopro2 the 3black, the 4black and a session and when I saw the New Hero 5 I had to add it to the family, this camera is the camera Gopro always wanted to make, voice activation, Electronic Image Stablization ,low light a new Linear mode to remove Fisheye from the video, the audio is amazing and the camera right out of the box can be used under water to about 30 feet, the New Hero5 has a touch screen that makes setting the perfect setting fast and easy and you can see the changes as you adjust them to get the shoot you are looking for. Battery life is longer and the camera will shut down if you forget and leave it on in about 15 minutes. the best part about this camera is it's $100 priced less then the Hero4 black when it came out and does more way more. you can use all your mounts and the camera works with the new Karma Drone coming soon.

The Long awaited 3DR Solo Gimbal has landed at Best Buy! I bought My Solo back on 6/25/15 and like the rest of us have been waiting for the long awaited GIMBAL to arrive, Well the Wait is over and all I can say is I'm 100% satisfied with the new 3 way Gimbal, steady shot is amazing I showed some people a video of me hovering in place for like 30 seconds and they all were saying when is the video going to start? That smooth... Setup only takes about 10-15 minutes there are online videos that you can watch before you install it, they even give you a screwdriver to use in the Gimbal Box, Make sure all your firmware is up to date before you install your Gimbal and make sure your GoPro is also up to date with 3.0 version software, the gimbal is truly setup for the Hero4 Black Camera but will work with the 3+ and the black 4 Silver.
I had some twitching at first but after talking to 3DR they had me cycle the unit a few times and now she is worry free. 3DR and Gopro have hit it out of the park with this one. and with 3DR support team you cant go wrong.

Should I fly Solo?

First Off I have been flying RC planes and gliders and stuff for over 35 years and I'm not new to the world of Quadcopters! That being said and Knowing what I know about the Hobby the Solo Is Not Designed to be a first Quad for anyone who has never flown before. This is a professional Video Platform and used in the right hands will delivery what it's designed to deliver, Can a new Pilot fly this Yes! With all the built in features like GPS and return to home and ORBIT and CableCam this will do some amazing thing. but you should have a basic understanding of flight before you fly any RC item they are not toys and can hurt people and property, to get the Solo to do all the stuff that the videos online show you will need a few Items a Gopro3 or above a Smart phone or tablet that runs the Solo App you can see a list on 3dR's website (they are updating it as fast as they can) the Gimbal is not going to be out until July 2015, the stock unit comes with a Frame Gopro Mount that works well to get you started. You will need to upgrade the firmware before the very first flight and the GPS will only find Satilites if you are in a open area trying to find them indoors will not work if there is any medal structures. the battery takes about 1 hour to charge and will work for about 20+minutes based on how you fly. I would watch all the videos on youtube before buy and ask yourself is this going to be what I want to use there are other Quads that will give you good basic result for half the price but if your a film maker this is a game changer you can now do shots that would take a team to setup and you can pull it off in a few minutes.. 3DR and the solo when used in the hands of a skilled pilot is the GAME Changer Quad..

I bought one of these on the Black Friday promo looking for a Cheap Camera to throw in my Golf Bag and take anywhere just to capture some cool video, I love the Cool Slo motion setting that lets you just aim and shoot and get great slow motion video without having to edit it that way, the steady shot works good only reason not a 5 star rating it crops the image when using steady cam so you only get about120 degrees without you get 170. the colors are nice and for the dollar its a great little camera.

Im not one to normaly by kitchen gagets but this one just started calling my name, takes only about 4 -5 minutes to pre-heat and then all you have to do is add your favorite store brand english muffin, ham cheese and one large egg close lid and in 4-5 minutes your done. simple easy to use cleans up with soap and water.
What's great about it: Easy to use

Please see my review of the AS30, as this is a fantasitc camera and the AS100 is all of the AS30 and more. I really appreciate the crisp video and multiple recording formats. The image stabilizer is first-rate. With the AS100, burst mode for still photography is also added which is an excellent feature.
I have ony one minor complaint of this version that is problably more specific to my usage than most: I do not like that Sony removed the ability to manually choose between 120-degree and 170-degree view while taking still photographs. It only allows the user to take 170-degree pictures, while the AS30 allowed the user to take both. I take a lot of still photos, and the 120-degree angle is very importatnt to me.
If you are going to use this primarilly for video or burst photograpy, than the AS100 is definatly the way to go, though.

The Sony HDR-AS100V takes 12mb pics in normal mode and only 2mb Pictures in burst mode, the only way this camera can take good still images is to use the app and put the camera on a mount. Video is OK other wise a little hand shake makes the pictures blury.

I am not to happy about this purchase yet. I was talked into it when i should have started with something a liittle less expensive and that maybe has a gimbal. That was the worst part me being new and the display having a simulator with the gimbal i ma very disappointed and will be till I get the gimbal until then.. We will see. Besides that solo has been easy to fly i am new to this whole drone photography

Never buy a item that you don't truly Know about! As a RC person who flys Planes,Quads and other RC related items, I did major research on this item. This is not a first QUAD or Drone for anyone, yes 3DR says anyone can fly it but Not Everyone should!

The flying is not very stable, GPS lock is pretty bad, floats a lot doesn't stay steady. The Gimbal isn't very good, lots of jitter. The upside of this drone is the Handheld Gimbal comes with it. I would recommend getting it with the Hero 5. As the Hero 4 Black does well but with its fisheye distortion is not as good as any of the DJI 4K cameras. The Karma app feels pretty rough and for a comparably priced drone from DJI or Yuneec you can get a ton more features.

Slow Motion Video on Budget
I'm looking for a small digital camera, not outrageously expensive, but I'd like to know what price is expected of cameras of this type, and what camera to buy. Using it to take high speed video of projectile impacts. Thanks!
Most new Digital Camcorders have faster frames FPS frames Per Second. find a camera that will let you shoot at around 120-200 fps and then using softwate slow it down to 15-20 fps you will be amazed.
