Absolutely amazing!
I've had both the Ecobee (Generation 1 and now Generation 2) the Nest (Generation 2, before the Generation 3 was out) and I "liked it" but always felt it was missing something - that something was the remote sensors.
The remote sensors of the unit are amazing for those of us with a room or two that may be outside of the temperature spread acceptable in our eyes.
The touch screen has been perfect so I'm not sure where people were complaining about that one.
The ONLY potential drawback that you may have (like the issue I had) was the the blue common wire must be hooked up - an easy trip down to my basement and a screw undone/done later it was all done - if you don't have the terminal on your unit they even go so far as to include a power splitter for those without access to the unit and such.
As far as home automation goes - the link between it and my Wink hub are amazing and work perfectly (in fact one of the few things that I've seen Wink do better than normal).

Poor Fitment, Terrible Screen Protector

No instructions in the package, docked a point.
The fitment was TERRIBLE as in it was too tight, I felt like I was going to break the brand new ipad going in and removing it. Docked another two points.
The screen protector was terrible. It didn't touch the screen at all (I'm assuming this was due to the bubble issues they had before) and so it made a popping noise every time you would touch. Docked another point.
I wouldn't recommend this at all.

This mouse was great at first for someone that sits across the room on a HTPC/60" LED tv setup for gaming.
The software is great, when it works. It fails to auto-update which is annoying (check for updates, no updates available, go to site and there's two revisions since your current version available). You also have to worry about the right profile catching or the program randomly crashing when doing the below trick (which happens on a FRESH install of Windows 8.1).
I constantly have to place my mouse next to the receiver and unplug and plug it back in to get the software to recognize this - as if the mouse is going to sleep and not waking up.
The paint wore off after less than a year of casual gaming, reminds me of my original Logitech G keyboard with the LCD that the paint wore of the keys in the same amount of time; you would think Logitech would have learned their lesson by now but apparently not! I don't have greasy fingers, I don't eat with my mouse, etc.
The mouse DOES perform, when it works, and works great. It chews through batteries (even in power saver mode) which was expected so I keep a stash of rechargeable to the side.
Ergonomics speaking, it's similar to the Performance MX which I like but for some reason the right hand side of the mouse needs more support that isn't there so you end up with a red right hand side of your mouse.
Overall, if they fixed the issues and fixed the paint I would recommend it every time but until then, no.

Easy To Setup

Easy setup, use your iPhone and let it it do it's thing automatically (connect to it wireless and you'll see where it says setup).
Range was fantastic, didn't have any issues with that. A room that normally only got 1 (if any) bar before with a high end Netgear router now had 2-3 bars.

I bought this because it's one of the only heavy duty cases that correctly fit the Ipad Air 2. When I installed it there was to much of a gap between the Ipad screen and the cases plastic cover. It made using the touch screen a little difficult when playing certain games. I ended up returning this

Same issue, it felt like someone was playing pop the bubble noise wise and was extremely annoying.
Coupled with the terrible fitment, I returned this.

Does it work with the Staples Connect Hub?
Will it work with the Dlink Staples Connect software app? I use android not apple software.
As far as I'm aware, not yet. The Wink Hub is the only one officially supported by Ecobee at this time.

Wiring
I have four wires for my thermostat. Y,G,RH,and W. Will this thermostat work with these four wires?
Yes - but you'll need to either connect a C wire (Blue) or use the included power adapter unit to supply the power to the unit (versus say a Nest which just robs the RH wire of power slowly).

Does this device work with Samsung Smartthings?
I checked the Smartthings website and while they have a long list of compatible products, this one isn't on the list so I would like to know for sure before purchasing it.
It is an unofficially supported product - supported by the community essentially. I have a Wink hub so I can't comment specifically but from what I've heard it's pretty stable on the ST Hub. It's plenty stable on the Wink hub as well.
