Honest Review Of How They Really Are

I have these speakers in a smaller room and use them as a 2.1 setup. The Bass alone with these speakers is not the best but definitely there. The mids and highs are great and clear. I personally have the treble turned way up on my speakers and it is great. The BEST thing about these speakers is that even at very high volume they DO NOT distort what so ever. In the future i would use these more as a surround speakers, but as for now they are GREAT in a 2.1 setup. These speakers sound best when mounted high. With only two speakers they FULLY fill the room with sound and feels like surround sound. if you want a great inexpensive Bose setup, i would go with these. you will not be disappointed.

An Honest Review From Experienced Radar Owner

**** Please note, I am NOT a rookie. I have owned many different radars over the years from multiple Cobras, Escort 8500 x50, and two Beltronics. I know and understand how they are supposed to work and know that they are not “cop Detectors”, and that they may not go off every time a cop is nearby. With that said, here is an honest review: The Beltronics V8 is just the new name for the 955 model. I used to own the Beltronics 940>> Now the V6 (that was absolute JUNK.) I bought this radar from Best Buy right before a trip to Virginia. The day before I decided to drive around town and test it out. I have my radar plugged in with the smart cord and have it mounted just under the factory tint strip high on the windshield. I would keep my radar on the “pop mode” and on “autoscan”(which claimed to filter out false alerts). While driving on the highway I came up on a known speed trap at a turnaround. There I saw a NYS Trooper with his car aimed directly down the road. (you can tell when they are just sitting there and when they are looking for speeders.) he was NOT shooting laser. The radar went off with the Ka band about 30 yards in front of him. There were no other cars around me. Second, and many times on my trip to and from Virginia. I would see people pulled over by police. Sometimes they leave the radar on sometimes they don’t. it did not matter if they were on the opposite side of the highway or on the same side, the same thing happened, the radar would not go off until I was right ontop of them. The same would happen just driving down a very straight road, I passed a cop and the radar never went off until I could practically see the cop driving the car! The Biggest thing about this radar is the CONSTANT false K alerts. It would just go off again and again.. Do you know those radar speed limit signs that shoot radar constantly? This radar could not even pick that up until I was right next to the sign. After a while I even moved the radar to the center of the windshield and nothing changed. I have had cheap $40 Cobras that performed better than this. DO NOT buy this radar or any other Beltronics product. It so far has been the absolute worst detector I have ever owned, and returned this to the store a week later.
What's great about it: Easy Setup
What's not so great: Constant False Alerts, Very Poor Detection Range
