Bass Boost for the Gym, Off for Quality Music Else
on October 4, 2014

Holy smokes these are amazing!
PROS:
-Good quality sound and build
-Super Comfortable
-Mic works fine for calls
-Doesn't fall off when working out
-Insane amount of bass with Bass Boost
-Battery life has been a non issue thus far
-Loudness/levels is good, I usually don't pass 75% on my iPhone.
CONS:
-Doesn't fold! They do swivel for some degree of compactness.
-Slight movement with sweat during workouts
-Lose functionality when plugged in through the wire.
-Some quality loss with Bass Boost but the gains outweighs the lost.
-Noise Bleed/spill
-Too much bass? Really, it adds that much.
HEADPHONES HISTORY:
I needed new WORKOUT headphones to get me going. I had those cheap wireless Beats headphones which I bought half off (still not worth it), that finally broke on me (never again!). I did like the extra bass but yeah the sound quality was not there and they kept falling off my head.
Then I tried the SMS Audio Wireless Sport Headphones. They were great but ended up returning them. I think they were too tight for my head because I got a weird air bubble feeling in my ears that was really uncomfortable but the sweatproof pads and sound quality were legit.
Experience:
Then I waited for these bad boys and I'm glad I waited. These headphones not only have WAY more bass than beats and SMS Sport but the sound quality was also there for any genre. I sometimes forgot I had Bass Boost off with the deep bass it already provides. I really like that I can turn bass boost off with a click of a button because not every song needs it.
CONS:
There is some things to note. Pushing the Bass Boost button does determent the sound quality but in return really cranks up the bass. Call me crazy but I felt like I was at a EDM concert. You can actually feel the cans vibrating. With that said there is some noise bleed, so people around can probably hear what you are listening to. Also plugging them in with the audio jack disables all functionality of the headphones including the bass boost but you still get some insane low freq.
COMFORT:
Super comfortable. For comparison I would say they are more comfortable than my audio-technica M50. They do isolate outside noise but not noise cancelling. Like I said I plan to workout with these and with some good head movement I feel confident that these will stay on while I'm active at the gym.
I would recommend this to a friend!
