Cuisinart Chw-12 12-Cup Programmable coffee maker:Keep everyone's favorites on hand. The 12-cup capacity and a hot water system let you make multiple cups of coffee, hot cocoa, tea and more. A brew pause feature allows you to postpone the brew cycle just long enough to grab a quick cup.

Run far away from this coffee maker

Bought this to replace a Bunn, which BB does not carry. First issue that appears is the hot water dispenser. The water tastes funny. Our only way around this is the put water in about 15 min before needed--which defeats the purpose of having hot water available. We still use the microwave for this as it's ready in 2 min. Now for the coffee maker part. We were excited to have a programmable one after 10+ yrs with our bunn. This worked great for about the first month. Then one morning, it wasn't ready. Okay. Set it up again that night, specifically remembering that I hit that button and it glowed blue signalling that it was set for the morning. Next morning, no coffee again. I do the vinegar clean process--like it says in the manual--with the same results the next morning. I start searching the internet about this as the manual is a joke on troubleshooting questions, so is their site (cuisinarts) and find that I am not the only one with the issues for the hot water on demand funny taste. So I decided to write Cuisinart about the issue, explaining right off that I followed their instructions in the manual about the vinegar clean, etc. I get the standard form reply to clean with vinegar. Apparently people don't read the information given. So for giggles, I repeat the vinegar clean process again, with the same results the next morning. By this time I am so totally frustrated with this coffee maker but unwilling to junk it after spending $100 on it. So I unplug it, thinking this will reset the process. This worked for about two weeks and repeated this as needed for the past few months. Now this work-around is not working as I just did this on Tues evening and Thurs morning I wake with no coffee and the blinking red clean light--yes I actually did the vinegar process that night before resetting it again. It makes a decent pot of coffee in about 10 minutes. I think this will be going to a garage sale and I will be replacing with a Bunn. This is too aggravating to deal with on a daily basis.
What's great about it: not a lot
What's not so great: constant red blinking clean light
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
