Expensive, but worth it

I research before every purchase. Going on 3 mths now w/this dryer & its matching washer. Although it's big & expensive I would buy it again. My last front load dryer was a Samsung & this one blows it away w/the Lg capacity.
Pros:
-My king size down comforter fits in the matching washer & it has plenty of rm to fluff & dry in this thing. It's HUGE. No need to go to a commercial laundromat.
-It's quiet.
-Love the lint filter. It's a basket type filter made w/a super fine mesh. It's the best I've seen in trapping lint.
-Lots of settings to choose from. Love the steam option & from another reviewer, picked up a tip on using the Steam Sanitary for stuffed animals.
-Love the Wrinkle Care for when you can't get the clothes out right away. It helps reduce wrinkles with a few turns in the tub.
-Love the Static Reduce, eliminates the need for dryer sheets (allegedly they're full of cancer causing stuff, but what isn't these days). Save $ & your health.
-A gas dryer is more more energy efficient than an electric one. Research shows gas appliances that produce heat such as furnaces & water heaters are more efficient than electric ones. Google it.
-You can turn on the drum light while it's in mid cycle. Kids like it. :)
Cons:
-Best Buy now chgs a gas install fee of $140 because they have to contract a licensed plumber. Add another $32 for the dryer gas connector. I think the duct hose too.
-No designated water line for the steam option. You have to refill a water cartridge. Water lasts 3 uses. It's a pain, but I hardly use it. Not a deal breaker, but come on...that's ridiculous. Good thing you only need tap water.
-Measure the space the machine will be, but also make sure it clears your door & ceiling height. It's huge! I'm 5'3" & stacking these things were not an option for me cause I'm short.
-Get pedestals. I didn't have them w/my first pair & it was back breaking. What's more important to you? Ease of not having to bend w/pedestals or w/o pedestals where you break your back, but can use the top of machines for baskets, folding, etc. Pedestals should come w/it.
-The Lg liquid detergent bottles don't fit in the pedestal drawer. Too tall. Same pedestal used for the dryer.
-Wish the end of cycle chime alert was louder.
-Wish it came w/a cheat sheet for the many dry cycles vs the at-a-glance laminated trouble shooting sheet it came with.
-Recommend paying for the extended 4 yr warranty. Machines are so computerized these days.
-Sensitive key pad. I have cabinets over the machines & when I reach over I hit the buttons. I have to put the child lock on. Not a deal breaker.
What's great about it: Lg Capacity & Saves $
What's not so great: No designated water line for the steam option
I would recommend this to a friend!

I research before every purchase. Going on 3 mths now w/this washer & although it's big & expensive I would buy it again. My last front loader was a Samsung & this one blows it away.
Pros:
-Cuts laundry time in 1/2. My king size down comforter fits. I can wash all my towels in one load now.
-Finally some one put a tub light in a washer!
-Saves $, we have a water softener & w/a full load I only need to fill the detergent to the #1 line on the bottle cap.
-It's quiet & doesn't vibrate like crazy once it's balanced.
-Door magnet to air out tub. I had to use a towel to prop my old front loader door open so you don't get that musty smell. I still dry it w/a cloth.
-Lots of wash settings to choose from + make your own custom setting.
-The Cold Wash & Turbo Wash settings get clothes clean using less time w/o using warm water, like for khaki or light colored clothes.
-The Sanitary & Allergiene settings eliminate dust mites from bedding & sanitize clothing like undies from a toddler in midst of potty training.
-If you haven't switched to a He machine, you need to. You save $ over all. Your wash time is longer (typically 50 mins) but your dry time is shorter (30+) because the high speed spin cycle removes a lot more water than an old school one.
Cons:
-The washer comes w/a hose, but Best Buy says you need their hose w/a higher psi. Doesn't make sense seeing as how your home's pressure is regulated at the main valve-thing.
-Measure the space the machine will be, but also make sure it clears your door.

-Wish it came w/a cheat sheet for the many wash cycles vs the at-a-glance laminated trouble shooting sheet it came with.
-Recommend paying for the extended 4 yr warranty. Machines are so computerized these days. My last Samsung pair had an issue 2 yrs in & the ext warranty covered it. Repair would've cost $400 to fix it.
-You don't need this lg capacity for a 2 person household.

What's not so great: Expensive, Big

One more thing to mention
June 7, 2013
-My washer is 6.5" inches from the wall for connection clearance so take that into consideration when measuring to see if the washer will fit in your laundry rm.
-You can turn on the tub light while it's mid cycle & see the clothes tumbling.
-Sensitive key pad. I have cabinets over the machine & when I reach over I hit the buttons. I have to put the child lock on. Not a deal breaker.
