EVGA 1070 Superclocked - NVIDIA **NAILED** It

The EVGA 1070 SuperClocked version, in my opinion, hits the sweet spot for many users, and the greater number of reviews across the retail sites for this version supports this assertion. Many users just don’t want or need a giant, three fan, power hungry card that takes two 8 pin connectors and a box as big as a refrigerator to run. Plus, the new Pascal architecture challenges the old paradigm that you need more wattage / power delivery for extreme overclock is now being challenged, and with the SC version able to achieve 2000+ MHz out of the box with on 8 pin power connector, and 4+1 phase power I think it has been realized.
There are smaller cards out there than the EVGA 1070 SC, like the Gigabyte 1070 Mini, with one cooling fan, or the ZOTAC mini... but those cards are targeting those with smaller ITX or ATX cases, or with smaller PSU's, or both. But the smaller 1070 cards, just like the overly large ones, represent the minority on either end of the spectrum. The fact this SC 1070 version can deliver such unreal computing / graphics power at a mere 170W, and stay in the mid 60's C under load, deliver extreme overclocking out of the box is a testament to the large leap the Pascal architecture represents for NVIDIA.
This card is the sweet spot in the 1070 lineup for size, power draw, factory over clock and features - and price!
