Frigidaire 18.1 Cu. Ft. Top-Freezer Refrigerator: Groceries stay chilled and organized in this Frigidaire refrigerator. The humidity-controlled crisper drawers keep food fresh, and a gallon-size door bin fits plenty of large containers.

I bought this for a garage fridge because of its "garage ready" rating so we will see about that. So far I have had difficulty adjusting the fridge side temp to not be too cold, but cold enough. I have had no problems with the freezer getting below 0 degrees. When I plugged it in, I literally thought an airplane was going to take off out of my freezer it was that loud. Even though I knew other customers had stated this problem, I figured I was using it in the garage so the noise wouldn't be an issue. Even though I am not an engineer, I found out that there was an engineering defect with the design of the freezer compartment. The evaporator fan that blows the cold air into the freezer was rubbing up against the plastic piece in the middle of the back wall. When I pressed on the plastic piece, it apparently made the speed of the fan change. This is when I knew that the fan was mounted to the back aluminum wall. So all I did was simply press on the back wall (towards the rear of the freezer) on each side of the plastic piece. This pushed the back wall further away from the plastic housing which prevented the fan from rubbing up against it. Magic!! It no longer sounds like a jet engine! Let me know if you need further instruction on how to fix this (anybody can do it, no skills needed), and I will post pictures on where to press. Other than that, I only gave it 3 stars for right now because the verdict is still out on how it will hold up in a garage during an Oklahoma summer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Location to press on...
July 11, 2016
Since I can't figure out how to upload pictures on Bestbuy.com, I'll try to describe in detail where to press on the rear freezer wall to get the noise to subside. When you open the freezer door, you will notice a roughly 6" wide white plastic piece sticking out from the rear wall going the length of the freezer. On that plastic white piece you should see a square towards the upper half...this is where the evaporator fan is located at (behind that plastic piece). Approximately 2" to the left and 2" to the right of that plastic housing (at the height of where the evaporator fan is at), you should push in (towards the back of the freezer) on the aluminum wall. You will notice it move and you will also notice that the noise from the fan blades hitting the plastic housing also stops! Keep pressing with a little bit of force and the rear aluminum wall will stay pressed back and you should no longer here that awful noise.
