Great Budget 4k TV

I will tell you right now, that if you are looking for a high end 4k experience. You will not get it here. This TV is excellent for the price and I would definitely buy it again, but if you are a A/V enthusiast you will be disappointed. For the vast majority of consumers, this TV will fit your needs well for every day use.
Pros:
- The TV does a great job of upscaling lower than 4k video inputs. I was a bit worried it would be grainy, but it is not the case.
- Response Time. I like to play first person shooters and have returned TV's in the past because they lag behind just enough where if you are playing a fast paced game, you will notice. This TV does not have that problem.
- Built in Chromecast. It took me a little bit to get set up (turns out if you have a dual band router, do not try setting it up with your 5.8ghz connection because it seems to freeze when trying to set up. 2.4 works perfectly. If you don't know what any of this means, I wouldn't worry about it because 2.4 is pretty much the standard).
- Aesthetically pleasing. I really like the way the TV looks and actually really like the small feet that it uses as a stand. I have not mounted it to the wall yet.
Cons:
- Lack of color calibration. This TV does not have a menu like most TV's where you can go and individually adjust the brightness, saturation, hue, etc... Instead it has 6 or so preset that you get to choose. I don't think any of them is perfect as the colors are almost always too washed out or too saturated.
- Vizio's Smartcast App is garbage. Once you use this app to set up the TV, you will never ever use it again. It is not intuitive and seems pretty clunky. Thankfully, you don't need to use it when casting youtube, Netflix, or other castable apps. (Tip: You can use the Google Home app to cast exactly what is your screen to make any app work).
- No TV Turner which basically means there is no place to connect a Coax cable to the TV. This really shouldn't affect anyone as most cable and dish connections use a separate digital box that is then connected to the TV via HDMI. (not really a con, just a heads up.)
Overall, great TV for the money. Just don't go into purchasing it expecting a $600 TV to compete side by side to a $1200 TV.
My Best Buy number: 2756794318
I would recommend this to a friend!

is this a smart tv ???

Technically, no because it doesn't have any built in apps.

However, it has a built in chromecast so you can display Netflix, Youtube, Hulu, Etc... directly from your phone's screen to your TV wirelessly.
