The RS 160 is a two-part headphone system, powered by a couple of NiMH batteries and a transmitter that connects to your output device. It's very simple to set up as the whole system is plug and play. This compact and portable transmitter utilizes Kleer's uncompressed digital wireless audio transmission. It offers an effective range of 20m (line of sight), and can serve up to four pairs of headphone.

best bet for wireless headphones for movies
on November 16, 2013

How Often Used:Less than once a week
Verified Purchase:Yes
I researched wireless headphones for a long time before buying. Then one day my wired headphones developed a short, so pulled the trigger. Research paid off.
I use these only for movies but movies with lots of special effects. The dynamic range is perfect for this use and the range allows me to listen from my kitchen, more than 16 feet from the station. I wouldn't dare compare them to my dual-driver in-ear monitors for music, but for my use - movies, A+
The only downsides have to do with the batteries. They are a small size in the head unit which is good for weight. However, being NiMh, they drain while the unit is off. Being small they don't seem to last long sitting unused and unplugged. The simple solution is to leave them plugged in when not in use. That's the other disappointment...
If you're willing to pay an extra $100 or so you can get equivilent phones that have a charging cradle. Having to insert a plug was unexpected, but I got what I paid for.
I gave 4 of 5 for comfort and fit only because I have not used them much yet and I am a little concerned about the durability of the set at the swivel point. That said, I have seen no actual problems at this time.
My Best Buy number: 0730607746

What's great about it: Comfort, sound, range
What's not so great: no wireless charging

Best StarTrek movie of them all

Without giving away anything, the writers of this movie did a great job of creating an entirely new franchise using the same characters, but giving them personalities that are different from and far deeper than anything seen by Shatner's original crew.
Although I was always more of a fan of Star Trek TNG than the original, I love that they created this new assortment of personalities such that fans of the original shouldn't be upset at all. Plot is probably only a 4-star if you discount this aspect of the writing.
Love the characters, love the CGI and love the possibilities for the future movies.
Only downside: When I look at Spock (Zachary Quinto) I keep waiting for him to go crazy and start killing peple. LOL. A big change of pace for the actor from Heroes, but honestly, he does a great job.
What's great about it: Brand new story line with no fear of offending die-hard fans
What's not so great: Still have difficulty accepting Sylar as Spock
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best series ever. Worst dvd transfers
on August 16, 2007

If you haven't seen the series, but like sci-fi even marginally, these are a must-have. I bought seasons 1-4 from Best Buy/.com the first time they went on sale for $20 each. I already had the entire series on VHS, recorded from the original airings...
If you can get them on a really good sale, like I did, they are certainly worth owning. Or, if you are watching on a small screen then they are probably worth the price as well. However, on my 109" screen, where most DVDs still look near-HD through my PS3, these seem to be only marginally better than my OLD VHS tapes.
Thse are are 5-channel surround, but the rear speakers are way under-utilized. I'm going to have to set up my system special before I finish watching the rest of the series. Otherwise its practially stereo.
I did check all first 4 seasons. All have the same terrible transfer quality. I look forward to a Blu-ray release.
Most incredible to me is that nobody else online seems to be complaining. Rent one and see for yourself before you drop big money on them....
All that said, I am happy to own them on DVD. A friend can borrow from me, because I can't recommend paying full price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

How many headphones?

Is this a 2 headphones and receiver set or only 1 headphone? It isn't clear in the "what's included section".
