I was really impressed by this product initially however when I tried to use it with VPN it worked with IPSEC but not with PPTP (windows vpn).
I checked the manually and it says it supports PPTP passthrough but when I called support they admitted that this functionality was in fact not working. In some future release it will be fixed... well maybe.

I gave it a low rating because this days modem/router should be able to do parental controls (I use open DNS) and vpn.

What's great about it: It is a really good product overall.
What's not so great: Does not work with VPN
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
