Simple watch for easy data capture

I used to have a Forerunner 220 and when that finally died I simplified to the 25. It's my everyday watch and I've had it 4 months. I do not use the alarms, but I do use the smart notifications (not a big feature for me though), and I have a heart-rate monitor. I walk, run, do yoga and fitness classes. The step counter is great, the auto-sleep feature works well, and the accuracy on my walks / runs is good, too. On occasion I will accidentally pause the workout when I'm wearing gloves, but that's rare. I do have intermittent syncing issues w/ my Moto X phone but I just hook it to my PC if needed. Also, twice since I've owned it, it has gotten frozen just after a workout and I've lost that data. That's a problem, but the pros outweigh the cons for me. I'm 6'2", 220 lbs and workout 4/5 times per week from 30 - 60 minutes at a time. I'm not a pro athlete - just trying to stay active and track my progress. Biggest positive: ALL the data via Garmin Connect is FREE. Every other site I've tried or researched has some portion of the data withheld for premium paid customers only. With Garmin Connect, everything that the watch captures is FREE. Pace, heart rate, sleep, steps, workouts, courses, averages of each of those, total calories, etc...

Very impressed

I've got 3 kids and every second and every dollar are precious. I am an accountant AND computer system support person - I develop / write code as well as handle customer support. My main purpose for the Chromebook is to do all the web related stuff that my work PC blocks: Facebook, picture uploads & edits (Google +), Mint.com, music, etc... A secondary use is to support some websites I maintain so the Codeanywhere program / extension is fantastic.
I tried an Acer Chromebok just before Christmas but returned it - got in trouble because it was on my wish list. Then I got this one. First off, I am impressed with the quality of the build. Yes, the lid / screen feels plastic because it's so thin, but it's not going to break easily. The hinge is nearly the entire width of the body which I really like after having a few hinge issues over the years. The keyboard feels good and my wrists are wresting on a solid body. The USB ports are solid connections though I haven't tried the HDMI or SD card slots yet. My only concern from a quality perspective is the power cord connection - it sticks out 3/4" and I'm sure it's going to get stuck on something.
Two oddities I see: there's no "delete" key, the typical "F" keys atop the keyboard are different, and there's no right-mouse button.
I find the Chromebook very easy to use if you're familiar with Google products. Multiple user accounts are supported. There is built-in security and you don't need to constantly download updates or install new programs though there is an update downloaded when first powered. Having recently gotten a new PC for my wife and hearing about her experiences, don't underestimate that - Adobe updates, Norton Anti-virus updates & background tasks, Windows updates, etc... Once you don't have those annoyances, you realize just how big a time drain they are. Now not only does it power up in seconds, it runs smoother and quicker than my any device in the house including my iPhones, iPads, Galaxy tabs, etc...
One thing you should verify for yourself is the display. I'm used to a 750p TV and an iPhone 3G so this is great compared to what I'm used to, but it's no Galaxy tablet.
The battery: for as small as it is, you won't believe it. RIght now my battery says it's got 71% and 6 HOURS and 25 minutes. WOW.
All-in-all the quality is surprising, the value is phenomenal, and the speed us unsurpassed. If you can use the Google suite of applications (Docs) instead of MS Office products, you would do well to get a Chromebook for all the money & time it will save you.
What's great about it: Value, ease of use, good quality build, battery life
What's not so great: No "delete" key
I would recommend this to a friend!

what size is the band on a Garmin vivoactive smartwatch

I am looking for the band to fit a 8 to an 8.5 wrist. Before ordering I would like to make sure it will fit.
On the Forerunner 25, I put the band at the last possible notch and it went almost to 9 inches so it should do the trick.
