This has to be the most useful and versatile mount GoPro has made for their cameras! An absolute necessity! Although $70 is pretty pricey for a "selfie stick," it is SO MUCH MORE than just that. I use it ALL the time! the original 3way mounts were made of metal and were great! The newer models are made of a hard plastic which seem pretty sturdy, but I would have preferred if it remained metal. (I gave my original 3way to a family member and bought a newer one)

I love this new GoPro Hero 5! it was a great upgrade from the Hero 4 Silver. Although I will not being using 4K in the near future, the fact that they made the GoPro itself waterproof is amazing! I'm so glad I no longer have to sacrifice audio quality for camera safety or vise versa. I keep my GPS off to save battery life. Im not really interested in geotagging my pictures. The voice commands are also great! they allow me to keep my wifi/bluetooth off and also make the smart remote unnecessary (for me) because now I can just say/shout a command.
Even though mentioned not using 4K (yet) its great that I now have it. So when my other equipment does upgrade to be able to display/render 4K ill have a camera that can already record 4K.

it has a new "linear" option that removes the fisheye effect GoPro is known to have. Its a great view if you'd like to use it to blog as well.

The battery is necessary for this new GoPro Hero 5. I have three batteries (possibly will be buying a 4th) because I feel like it just doesn't last long. I don't record in 4K at all. I have nothing that can display or even render 4K. the highest res I record in is 1080@60. and even then, on avg I've gotten 45min-1hr record time. I used to have the hero 4 silver and I would just hook on the battery backpack and be set, but now, I find myself needing multiple batteries to avoid a paperweight out where the action is.
I keep the wifi/bluetooth off as well as the voice commands, to extend battery life as long as possible. regardless of that, I would recommend only this battery to use in your GoPro. I wouldn't trust a generic one.

Hero 4 battery fit hero 5?
No it does not. They change the battery's design with every new GoPro. Im sure its to make more money, because you'll always need more batteries
