I have three TVs running off of one new Comcast X1 box. Two of the TVs get their signal from component cables connected via an ethernet link.
I purchased the NextGen Genius from BestBuy and bought two extra transmitters online. I also bought on eBay, two additional Comcast RC1475507/03b remotes. These remotes are cheap and will run the new X1 box. The remote that is comes with the new X1 didn’t work my audio receiver.
I hooked up the NextGen Genius behind my TV and ran its three IR emitters to my equipment. I setup the remotes to work my equipment, put the NextGen transmitters in each remote, and everything worked. I did use small pieces of clear packing tape to reinforce the IR emitter adhesive.
I’m also using a NextGen transmitter In the remote in our den where the Comcast box, a TV, and an audio receiver are located. Our coffee table blocks the remotes normal IR signal, the the RF transmitter solved that issue.
