Budget laptop with faults but can be upgraded.
on August 3, 2022
Posted by: BeingHonest
Pro:
-144Hz display
-Cooling design
-Expandable storage
Con:
-No fingerprint or windows hello
-Slow charge time
-Speakers
-Trackpad and buttons
Per its spec, this laptop performs as expected, though it’s not without its faults. The i5 is the older 11th gen, and it only has 8GB of ram. The 3050 ti can play light to medium games at 60+ fps, but can struggle on battery. While the build is average with good cooling, the speakers are not good and the trackpad doesn’t feel good to use. There’s also no biometric or Windows Hello. The battery life can last 1 to 2 hours depending on the demand, but is very slow to charge.
Build
The build is what one would expect from a budget laptop. It’s lighter than it looks and has a hollow feel to it, with the all glossy finish getting smudged easily. The display hinge is strong with minimal wobble, but can’t be open with one hand. On the sides, there’s three USB 3, one USB C, card reader, and separate mic and headphone jacks. On the back, there’s a mini display port, HDMI, ethernet, and the power port. The thick power cable coming out the back gets in the way as you move the laptop.
Inside, there’s a full size RGB keyboard and trackpad with the left and right buttons. The keyboard is fine. The RGB is bright, but the colors can only be picked from 14 preset colors. The keys can also be set as Express Keys for macros. The trackpad, however, just doesn’t feel good to use. It doesn’t track as well as matted trackpads and the two buttons feel cheap and mushy. The display is surrounded by ¼ inch bezels on the sides and 1 ½ on the bottom.
The bottom has a removable battery, and the internal has extra slots for storage expansion. The bottom firing speakers are located towards the front.
Battery
With the RGB turned off, the battery will last about 2 hours with light tasks like web browsing or watching youtube. Moderate gaming will last maybe an hour at most. The charge time is very slow. It took at least 2 hours for a full recharge while the system was in sleep mode, longer if the system is in use.
Performance
The display looks good, with good colors and display angles. The speakers are not good, probably one of the worst I’ve heard on a laptop yet. It’s lacking both highs and lows, with the mids not that clear. It sounds hollow, like small speakers in a can.
Plugged in, gaming can be smooth, depending on the game. The 3050 ti can run older games at 100 fps without issues. On battery though, it couldn’t keep 30 fps, even an older game like Doom (2016). The big issue is the ram. 8 GB doesn’t give a lot of head room with Windows already eating almost half of that. CPU demanding games or content creation applications will not run well.
The cooling design does a good job of keeping most of the chassis from being hot, with the hottest spot towards the top right section. The internal temp for CPU and GPU will usually be around 80 degrees. The fan and power setting can be adjusted with the control center. At full power, the fans don't get too loud.
Worth it?
Keep in mind that this is still a budget gaming laptop so there are some compromises. The specs are comparable to other laptops in this range, and it performs as it should. The cooling is better and quieter than other laptops I’ve tested. It also has expandable storage. However, you can find laptops with either a newer CPU or 16 GB of ram for similar price. If you’re willing to upgrade the memory, then that would bring this laptop up a level.

Customizable actuation and dual actions is great.
on August 1, 2022
Posted by: BeingHonest
Pro:
-Customizable actuation
-Dual actuation action per keys
-Dual action up to 8 keys
Con:
-Louder clicks than other linear switches
-Dual actions can mess up typing
-Lighting profiles are different than key profiles
The main features of this keyboard are nice. The actuation is customizable and having dual actions per key is something I haven’t seen before. The keyboard itself is heavier than it looks, the build is solid, but it’s taller than some other keyboards. The keycaps are stable and all the letters and symbols illuminate clearly. It comes with a fairly stiff detachable USB C cable and a keycap puller, which is stored on the bottom of the keyboard.
The actuation can be customized per key, essentially being able to turn each key into speed type switches or have them bottom out to activate. This is a great feature. Not only can I set speed activations per key for gaming, but I can set it lower for when I’m typing.
Not only can I set actuation, but I can also set dual actuation to activate different actions per key press. The secondary actuation can also be set as long as it’s greater than the primary one. For instance, I can set the W key for walking (W) on half press, and for running (Shift + W) on full press, eliminating the need to hold down Shift. However it’s not a toggle between action A and B, but rather it activates A, then B on a full press, then A again upon release. It does take some time to get used to. These are limited to only 8 keys.
Having dual actions can cause problems when typing since it’s registering all the keys each press. It would type something like “WwW” each time. Having profiles linked to specific applications or games or having a default profile you can switch to helps. This brings up another issue. There's no way to easily tell which profile you’re on when switching them with the keyboard keys. There doesn’t seem to be a way to set lighting per profile. The RGB profiles are on their own and don't sync with the key profiles.
The RGB can be set per key and is nice and bright. It does shine a lot of light on the table on top of the keyboard. The color is not as accurate and runs blue. The effects available are static or color shift, which can be assigned various color sequences and directions. Reactive keys can be added on top of that as well. The effects are limited compared to other brands but it’s enough for me. You can have different profiles for the lights, but again, it’s separated from the profiles for the key settings.
The app is a bit messy. While it’s not too complicated to use, it's just not as organized as it could be. I have to click on Engine to select my keyboard, which then opens a separate window for the key settings. Then to change the RGB setting, I have to click on the banner on top of the key settings window, which brings me back to the previous Engine window but now it’s showing the RGB settings. There’s no way to go into the RGB settings directly from the Engines tab. You can also set a lighting profile and a key profile to a specific game in the Apps tab.
Overall I think this is a nice compact keyboard for gaming. I really like that I can set the actuation and add dual actions for key presses. I love this for gaming, but this won’t be my main keyboard since I need a full size keyboard for daily tasks plus it’s a bit taller for me to use it comfortably without a wrist wrest. It can cause some issues with typing if I don’t set up specific profiles. The app is messy but it works to get the job done.

Good for the price, but be aware of shortcomings.
on July 28, 2022
Posted by: BeingHonest
Pro:
-Battery or wired
-Optional non permanent installation
Con:
-Spotty live connection
-Recording upon trigger is slow to start
-Some common features locked behind subscription
Setup and Installation
The doorbell was easy to set up. Once you create an account in the app, you use the phone to scan the QR code and pair the camera and it’ll run through the wifi setup. The app really pushes the subscription but you can select the basic option towards the bottom. You can either install it by hardwiring it or using the battery and clip it to the door. The clip can attach with screws or use 3M tape on the back. There’s an optional security screw to keep the doorbell from being removed from the clip. The chime can be plugged into any USB port or with the included adapter.
Functionality
It works well enough, with the video quality being ok for both day and night time. The speaker is somewhat muffled. When talking through the mic, I got some feedback and echo from the speaker on the doorbell. It also feels like the recording upon being triggered is a bit too slow. For instance, I had a delivery that triggered the doorbell, but in the recording, the delivery person was already at the door and walking away. It would be too slow to capture any useful information if the subject was moving fast enough.
An issue that I have often is the connection to watch the live view. It’ll take anywhere from 5 to 10 seconds, but a lot of the time it won’t connect at all until I close the app and retry. It doesn’t affect recordings, which usually take a few seconds to view.
The battery seems like it would last a long time. I’ve had it set up for a few days now with recordings and live view and so far it’s still showing full charge.
Free vs Paid
The free version is more limited but probably enough for daily monitoring. You can set it to notify and record upon motion detection or doorbell rings, with video clips up to 12 seconds. It will only trigger once every 5 minutes. The videos will be saved for two days, but you can also download them. You can also adjust the detection sensitivity between normal and far.
You can subscribe to their annual plan for $24, which will unlock more features, but some of these probably should have been in the free version. The plan will unlock:
-Longer recording time up to 60 seconds with battery and 90 seconds with hardwired.
-Saving recording up to 30 days
-Person Only mode, detecting and recording only people.
-Shorter cooldown time for alerts, down to 5 seconds.
-Motion Detecting Zones
It’s not great by any means but for the price it’s not bad. It doesn’t have the premium build feel to it but both the day time and night vision works well enough. It’s easy to set up and install, and gives you the option between hard wired or battery. The issues I’ve had are that recordings take longer to start upon triggering and the connection for live view was spotty. The free basic plan will get you by, and the subscription price for the extra features isn’t that much. If you need a cheap video doorbell, this will get you by.

Finally a chair for me!
on July 21, 2022
Posted by: BeingHonest
Pro:
-Comfort and adjustability
-Can go really low for short people
Con:
-Headrest can’t be added
-Thin cushion
-Seat doesn’t tilt
Finding a chair that fits me well has been a challenge since I’m short and get pain around my tailbone after a short time. Even though I’m still getting used to it and still adjusting it often, so far this chair has eliminated most of the problems. I can sit in it for hours and not have pain, which is surprising given how thin the cushion is. At first glance it seems like it wouldn’t be that comfortable, but it’s really well supported.
The chair comes mostly pre-assembled and you only need to insert the chair into the base. The chair is quite heavy but rolls smoothly on hard surfaces. The material seems nice and durable. The cushions are thin but dense so it doesn’t feel flat.
Adjustability
The chair has many parts that can be adjusted freely without increments. The seat height can be adjusted from 16” to 21”. It’s great for someone short such as myself. The seat can also freely move forward and back by twisting the front knob, but can’t be tilted. The backrest can be tilted back at four increments from 90 degree to about 130 degree, with the tension adjustable with the second knob. The lumbar support can move up and down a few inches. The armrest can go up and down, and much lower than the typical office chair. It can also be rotated sideways while the arm pad can be pushed forward and back. It can’t be totally pushed out of the way but it’s very versatile.
Comfort
I’m still dialing in to get everything just right, but so far this chair fits my body well. The cushion seemed thin at first but it’s dense enough that I’m not hitting the bottom. It still feels thin and perhaps after long term use may become uncomfortable. Even at my height, the backrest fits the curvature of my back and gives it proper support. The lumbar may be a hit or miss for some. It’s a bar that slides up and down and I can really feel that it’s a thin bar. For me, the shoulder support is fine but if you’re taller then the backrest might be too low for proper support. The arm rest is great. Even at the highest, I can push the chair really close to my desk or I can have it low and out of the way.
Is it worth it?
Buying a chair at this price is an investment. It may not fit everyone’s body type, but so far for me, it has been comfortable. The least comfortable part is the cushion. It hasn’t been a problem yet, but I’ve only used it for a few days. The arm adjustment is the best thing about this chair. It’s so easy to freely adjust and I’m constantly doing it based on what I’m doing. The chair is very premium so it should last a long time. If it’s comfortable and lasts years, then it’s a worthy investment.

Helps sore muscles
on July 18, 2022
Posted by: BeingHonest
Pro:
-Help muscle soreness
-Battery life
-Includes different plug adapters for international outlets
Con:
-May not fit well if you’re on either end of the size range
-Leave marks on your legs
-Expensive
Does it work? In my experience with it so far, it does help soften muscles and keeps them loose. How it works is that each side has five zones which fill up with air, massaging and increasing blood flow to your legs. This will supposedly help the muscles recover faster. The set includes the two leggings, a pump, hose, and charging cable with different plug adapters for international outlets.
This is the standard size, for people between 5’4” to 6’3”, but if you’re on the shorter range, this may not fit well. I’m short and this fits about 6” too high reaching all the way to my pelvis. The excess length bunches up and the squeezing can get uncomfortable. However, I let my friend, who is about the same height, use it and he said he didn’t have any issues.
The inside of the leggings has folds and creases which will leave marks on your legs. After each session, my legs look like they're covered in vines.
The battery life is good. Full charge can last about 6 sessions, with each session lasting about 25-45 minutes. It takes about 5 hours to recharge.
Manually, the pump lets you set the timer, pressure level, and boost the five zones. You’ll need the Hyperice app, which connects with bluetooth, to get the full use of it. The app has presets for different routines, such as Pre/Post Workout Recovery, Long Day Unwind, or Promote Sleep. During each session, you can adjust the pressure or boost each zone. Each routine targets different zones. The Promote Sleep routine, for instance, squeeze your feet more, while Post Recovery goes in sequence from your feet to your thighs.
It’s somewhat difficult to say how well this works. I’d imagine those that really work their muscles will see more benefit, but this can help those that are on their feet all day. It’s like a massage to keep the muscle loose and help soreness. Be sure to check the sizes and go for the size you’re in the middle of the range.

More gimmick than smart, but still good microwave.
on July 10, 2022
Posted by: BeingHonest
Pro:
-Alexa compatible
-Automatic settings
Con:
-Sensor cooking either undercook or overcook
-Small
As a standard microwave, excluding all the smart features, it’s fine. It has simplified controls and heats up food fast and evenly. As much as I love smart features on anything, this seems more of a gimmick to me. The voice control works well but doesn’t really save time and the sensor cooking can be unreliable compared to manual setting.
The microwave looks nice, having a brushed stainless steel exterior. The controls are simplified with six buttons and a dial. There’s no number buttons, but having used a previous Panasonic with similar layout, it’s not an issue. It does need an extra button press or two, rather than just turning the dial to set the time and press start. The interior is a bit small. The rotating glass plate is about the size of a standard dinner plate.
Setting up was simple. Upon powering up, you can set it up through the Alexa app with a QR code and it’ll connect to your wifi. You can skip it entirely too but you won’t have the voice commands available. The settings are retained if the power goes out, which I’m really thankful for.
The Alexa voice control has a wide range of commands. It can be something as simple as telling it to heat for a certain amount of time, something more specific like “microwave frozen vegetables,” or telling it to cook something by weight, time, and power level. The feature itself is cool and the response time is immediate, but it takes about the same amount of time to activate Alexa and say the command as it would for you to turn the dial. Plus you’re already at the microwave so it doesn’t really add that much of a convenience.
The sensor cooking has settings for reheating, various frozen foods, drinks and liquids, vegetables, etc. It senses when the cooking is done by detecting steam, but it’s very hit or miss. Reheating tends to overheat, making the food dry. Food that is covered seems to throw the sensors off, while frozen food stops halfway through. I just end up using manual settings like I would normally do.
In the end, it’s still a good functioning microwave. The smart features just don't really add convenience over dialing the time manually. Voice control is there if you want and it does work well. I mainly use the microwave for quick reheating or frozen foods, and for those, the sensor cooking didn’t really work that well.

Good entry for on the go content creation
on June 8, 2022
Posted by: BeingHonest
Pro:
-Easy setup, no extra recording app needed
-Noise cancellation works well enough
-Charge phone while using
Con:
-Won’t fit with thicker phone cases
-Case lid is loose
-Not wireless charging
-Only work as recording mic
The lapel mic is easy to set up, simply plug n play. It connects automatically and works with any app like the native voice memo, camera, and various streaming apps. There is one multi function button to power on, mute, and control noise cancellation. The range claims to be able to go up to 60ft, but 20ft is closer to real case use. It will not work for voice calls.
The receiver may not fit phones with thick cases. I have a soft thin case and it barely fits. It does have a port so the phone can be charged in use.
The charging case is NOT wireless charging, but charges with USB-C. It’s a bit bulky but still small enough to be easily carried around. The lid is loose and easily flips open, but the magnets holding the mic and receiver should at least keep them from falling out.
The audio quality is about the same as the mic on the phone, lacking on the deeper sounds. It does pick up my voice well enough but will sound better when it’s within a few inches from my face. The noise cancellation is good enough to reduce fan noise and background hums.
For recorded content it should work fine. You have the freedom to move away from the phone and reduce some of the echo you would get from using the phone mic. It would work well to have a separated audio track and compositing in an editing software.
For live content, it will depend on what it is. If it’s primarily streaming from YouTube or Twitch on mobile, then it can be something handy to have around while on the go. If it’s from a pc, because it has to be done with the phone, there’s no easy way to incorporate it into that set up so it’s not going to work well with that. I don’t think the mic quality is good enough without processing for a good live stream.
For its intended use, it’s a good entry point for content creation on the go. It sounds about the same as the phone mic but with the added benefit of being able to move around. It also does a good job at reducing white background noise. It's a simple plug and play and works with any app for recording.

Versatile. Good suction. Extra cleaning steps.
on May 28, 2022
Posted by: BeingHonest
Pro:
-Lightweight and versatile
-Storage compartments in the tower
-Auto empty
-Battery life
Con:
-Suction could be better
-A lot of maintenance
-Small dirt canister
-Bag costs
-Will not pick up larger debris
-Mop attachment is for light cleaning only
The Vacuum
The vacuum is lightweight and versatile. The multi position extending pipe can be detached, turning it into a handheld vac. It comes with the standard head, the crevice and brush attachment, the mop head, and a cleaning brush. The dust canister is small and the Kompressor is really just a ring that you push down to scrape the dust off the filter and compress it down.
The Tower
The tower is the all in one serving as storage, charger, and auto emptying the vacuum. Aesthetically it’s nice and that doesn’t take up a lot of space. The sides open up for accessory storage, but it can only store the crevice, brush, and pet head attachment. The mop head is hung on a hook on the outside. The top opens up for the secondary battery charging.
The main feature of the tower is the auto empty function which automatically empties out the dust from the vacuum and into a dust bag on the bottom. The bag is about the size of a bag of coffee, and two is included. An additional pack of three costs $20. It does a good job of fully emptying the dust canister, but it can be loud if only for less than 30 seconds.
Cleaning
The suction could be better. While it can be powerful at max setting, I find that my other stick vacuum of the same price outperforms this one. On carpet, especially if you have pets, I find the suction on normal and medium somewhat disappointing. It’ll pick up surface level and some hair but it won’t pick up fine dust unless I activate Turbo mode. With Tubo on, it did pick up dust deep in the carpet but I have to go over the area a few times. On normal the battery will last about 30 mins, while Turbo will last about 10 mins.
On hard wood and tiles, normal was good enough, but the head would not pick up larger debris and just ends up pushing it around.
The mop attachment is only good light cleaning. It only spins at one speed and can only use water. The amount of water can be adjusted between two settings or off. It’s good enough for cleaning the bathroom floor or removing shoe prints of tiles.
Maintenance
There’s quite a bit of parts that need regular maintenance. The vacuum has two dust filters that need to be cleaned along with the dust canister filter. The tower also has two filters along with having to change out the dust bags. The mop pads need to be hand washed.
Is it worth it?
If you really detest the idea of having to empty the canister with your hands and like having the tower to store everything neatly, then yes. The vacuum is light and versatile, giving you an around cleaner. The suction is powerful at max, but there are others that can outperform it. To me, this vacuum adds more steps for the sake of convenience. Rather than emptying out the canister after use, eventually you’ll end up having to open up the tower to replace the bag and have more filters to clean out. Add to that the cost of additional bags.

This is a nice compact yet powerful air purifier. It looks nice and fits well into my room. It runs quiet at low to mid settings. At max, while not excessively loud, it is loud enough to be disruptive. In a 200 sq ft room, low was enough to keep the room smelling nice. It’s supposed to be strong enough for up to 500 sq ft, but it’ll likely have to be run at max. It would have been better if there was a remote to turn it on, but it’s recommended to leave it on in auto mode anyway.
The color display looks good and nicely designed. The front has a large display and, by default, shows your air quality with corresponding colors. The top has touch buttons for info, dimming, timer, filter life, and child lock along with the power setting. Pressing the Info button will cycle through the different types of particles detected and how long it’ll take to clean the air.
The purifier will automatically detect the air quality and adjust its power accordingly. Once it detects that the air is clean, it will go into Eco mode. While testing, it did a good job of detecting the air quality. When it detected a bit of dust, it started up and the number dropped by a few. During cooking, it kicked into high and displayed red and yellow with the number in the 70-80 range.
The filter life may be a bit short. I left it on auto for a week, mostly running at minimum setting and it’s already down to 98%. The filter is supposed to last 8-12 months, and replacements will cost $70 each.

Pro:
-Good noise canceling
-Wireless charging
-Each side connect individually
Con:
-White noise in transparency
-Some features in the app unnecessary requires you to make an account
Buds and Charging Case
Included in the box are four tip sizes (XS to L) and three sets of wings. The buds themselves look a bit blocky and bulky, and stick out a bit when worn. It has touch controls on each side that isn’t too sensitive, and the functions can be edited with the app. The charging case, although not the smallest, is still compact enough. It has a fabric cover with a front USB-C port, but can also be charged wirelessly. Each side can be connected independently. It does seem to have a connection issue when taken out of the case. It will connect one side first, disconnect, and reconnect with both sides. It also can take a while to connect with the app.
Audio Quality
These buds overall sound great, with clear and detailed audio. By default it has more of a neutral balanced sound, so those looking for heavy bass may be disappointed, but you can adjust the EQ with the app to help boost the sound.
Noise Canceling and Transparency Mode
The noise canceling is really good. It cuts out all noise by at least 50%, and not just low rumbling sounds, but even voices (like from a TV) are muffled. The normal noise canceling doesn’t handle wind very well, having a lot of popping and static, but within the app, you can switch to anti wind which will eliminate them at the cost of some canceling.
Transparency mode still needs some improvement. It doesn’t sound natural and has a lot of white noise added. The sound coming through isn’t that clear and sounds more like you’re listening while cupping your ears.
Battery
Each charge will last you about 6-7 hours, with the charging case giving you up to about 25 hours.
App
Within the app you can adjust the EQ or choose from the listed presets, control noise canceling and transparency mode, edit the touch controls, and adjust the settings for auto pause or auto call answer. There are two features that are nice, but needlessly require you to make an account just to use them. One is Sound Check which lets you create a personalized sound preset. The other one, a feature that other brands don't have, is the Sound Zone. This feature uses your gps and automatically applies your sound settings based on your location, up to 20 zones. This is a cool feature, but there is no reason why an account has to be made just to use it.

HP's take on MacBook Air, and it's good!

With an attractive design and lightweight portability, this laptop is a (big) tablet size package with full size laptop performance. The laptop is incredibly thin at a mere 10.4 mm and weighting at 2.45 lbs.
Build:
The exterior is a matte finish trimmed with gloss gold, which is reflected with the keyboard. This finish is nice since it doesn't leave fingerprints but the shinny gold is prone to marks. While personally I'm not a fan of the dark gray and gold, it does have a premium look to it. On the back is the headphone jack, 2 usb type C, and a power port, along with the exhaust along the bottom.
Display:
The Spectre comes with a 13 inch IPS 1080p display, and while not on par with a retina display, is clear and sharp. You really don't need a higher resolution for this size. The display setting is default to a custom setting in windows, which I find to be about right. The screen is glossy, which can be annoying. The viewing angle is great! I was surprised that this was an IPS panel.
Keyboard and trackpad:
The keyboard is a typical chicklet type key and is responsive and easy to type with. It is backlit and with the gold trimmed keys, gives a nice glowing effect. The glass trackpad is nice and smooth and functions like a button with gesture controls (which I mostly disabled). It's essentially an Apple trackpad.
Speakers:
The speakers sandwich the entire keyboard, and while HP boast that it's custom tuned by Bang & Olufsen, it performs like what you would expect from tiny speakers on a tablet. Not so good, but considering its size, is adequate for watching videos. With music, it tends to crack at higher volumes and the bass is lacking. Still, the speakers can produce good volume and the individual channels stands out.
Performance:
With an i7 and 8 gb of ram, this laptop can handle any day to day task without a hitch. Just don't expect to do any modern gaming with this. Thanks to its PCIe SSD, this thing is fast. It boots up faster than my gaming desktop. But with only 256gb of storage, you might need an external drive. I'm used to gaming laptop so to me the battery life is very good. I can get at least 5 hours of use without optimizing the brightness and performance. It takes a few hours to fully charge and you should be good to go for a while. There doesn't seem to be a way to replace the ssd or battery so I'm hoping they last. I have one major issue with the performance, and is that it can get hot, not warm, but hot. Installing windows update, this laptop got too hot to be in my lap. Doing multitasking can get quite warm as well.
Overall this laptop performs to my expectations. It's thin and light and can handle everyday tasks smoothly. There's not much HP bloatware, which I find refreshing. It comes with a usb C adapter and a slip cover, but in my case is a tad too small and tight. Even with some of its shortcomings, I can't fault it too much given how much was packed into such a small form factor.
This laptop was provided to me for my honest review.

Thanks for update

Thanks for letting me know about the ssd and battery. I didn't see any way to remove the cover, but good to know it's doable. And yes I no longer put it on my lap (laptop-the irony) due to the heat issue. The ventilation is one of the issue I have with this thing, but it's still a good machine.

What motherboard is used

No brand name if that's what you're asking. It's a Dell made board.

Does this have a 850 w power supply? Which brand/ model video card is used for this rtx 2070?

Not sure about the power supply (not visible without taking it out), but with Dell you won't be getting any brand name parts. Just generic grade. The 2070 is a blower style.

Listen to your playlist in peace with these Sony headphones. They have a 40mm dome driver to deliver the full depth of audio, and the noise cancelling feature minimizes outside disturbances for a better listening experience. These Sony headphones have a battery life of up to 30 hours for extended jam sessions.

Really wanna buy these headphones, but does the ANC from these (Sony) create an undesirable pressure to the eardrums? Tried the Bose, they hurt my ears after a while...

I think your case is unique. I haven't heard about noise cancelling causing pain. I have both the Sony and Bose and all I can say is that they are similar, but with the Sony you can adjust the level of NC so that it has less effect in their App. By default, the Sony has a bit of a hiss. It's worth a shot.

I am moving to Australia & hear different information about the power adapters. Do I need a converter to charge this HP laptop internationally? I have the adapter & a converter. Just want to be on the safe side. Thank you!

On the power brick, it says that it takes 100-240v so it should be fine internationally.

Which available adapter is recommended for using with: HDMI screen Ethernet RJ45 network 2 regular USB ports (for wireless keyboard/ printer/ disk on key, not usb-c) Charging ?

There's no HDMI or ethernet out. It only comes with 2 usb-c so you'll just need an adapter to connect to non usb-c devices.

Online, the estimated battery life is 9.5 hours. How accurate is this estimate?

Real world applications would probably get about half of that. I get about 4-5 hours of moderate use.

What users is this directed towards?

Mainly target for everyday users or office workers that needs portability and good performance. For instance if you're looking to get a macbook air or surface pro (only without touch screen).

Stay cool with this Honeywell Turbo Force HT-906 table fan that features 120° extra-wide horizontal oscillation to help keep a large area comfortable. The pivoting head can be adjusted up to 60° for flexible positioning.

How quiet or loud is this fan?

Tired of noisy fans; how is this one for noise? Thanks.
It's a bit quieter but really no quieter than any oscillating fan I've had. This is just smaller and has decent air flow.
