Wow, amazing sound brought my speakers to life!

"Wow" is the first word that comes to mind. A couple of years ago I replaced plastic factory speakers with some nice Kenwood speakers, The sound was okay but thin and a little harsh. I have wanted a new, more modern receiver with HD Radio for my 10 year old Camry, without breaking the bank. Best Buy had the AVH-X391BHS with free Geek Squad install. Note that the free install did not include the steering wheel controls which was something I wanted, so I paid to have it installed. I could have installed it all myself but it would have taken longer. It took Al from the Geek Squad about an hour and 20 minutes and he didn't even break a sweat. He had to file down the factory mounts with his grinder to make everything fit just right, something I couldn't have done. The end result is it looks great and the sound is even better than I expected, plenty of power and plenty of bass, with so many options! AM/FM and HD all sound and perform better than stock radio. I loaded the Pioneer AppRadio software on my iPhone but I really don't find it all that useful. Maybe in the next release if there is one or perhaps I need to spend more time working with it. A great install by the Geek Squad, of a great product. A small tip, the iPhone works better when connected to USB although it works fine in Bluetooth mode. Now wishing I hadn't waited so long for this obvious upgrade.

Very fast throughput using both wireless and wired. We have 3 wired connections and a host of wireless ones, TV, Apple TV, phones, tablets and laptops. Super simple to set up but still very flexible. I haven't had a single problem after owning it for 7 months. Quite honestly it works so well that I forget it's even there. I think I rebooted it once but that was so long ago I don't remember when. I work in IT so believe me I know when something isn't working properly and I pay close attention to the speed of the connections around the house. The range is very good, I can go outside and still have plenty of signal walking around the yard.
I would recommend this to a friend!

After seeing the WWDC video about the new TVOS which will be available this fall. I decided to upgrade from the previous Apple TV to the new 32gig model while Best Buy had them on sale. This one is very stable compared to the previous one model which I would have to reboot by pulling the power cable once in awhile. How wise was my purchase? I'm not sure yet, it depends on what happens with our cable company/internet provider. I do watch movies on Plex TV and in the past had to use a Fire TV so buying the newer Apple TV allowed me to reduce some clutter around the TV. My only wish is that there was more free content. Let me add I really liked the old remote, it's very easy to use in the dark by the feel of the buttons. The new remote is even better, just picking it up turns on the Apple TV and the finger sweep touch pad is super easy to use. More features coming in the fall when the TVOS is upgraded, I can't wait!!!

A very versatile device!

I love this Clock Radio. The Bluetooth and how it's implemented opens up a lot of possibilities, more than I had thought about. There is wake to alarm, wake to FM or wake to Bluetooth. You can also sleep to Bluetooth. The speakers sound good for a bedside radio, with the Bass and Treble control you can make it sound really good, but it's no boom box. The first one the Bluetooth would not pair. First I called iHome tech support that actually had someone on duty to help me at 11pm on a Saturday night! We couldnt make it pair so it it went back to the store and I got another unit. That's the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5, well that and this radio doesn't have AM. If it had AM and HD it would blow the socks off of anything there is out there! Still after using it about a week I'm very happy with it and the service from iHome and Best Buy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good quality doesn't have to be expensive

Headphone prices have soared lately, so buy these while you can. They provide clean natural sound, they aren't boomy or shrill. I dislike boomy headphones. Beware if you feed these headphones too much volume with the bass turned up the sound will break up but you'd have to be a fool to do that to year ears anyway. As a former radio DJ I've gone through more headphones than I can remember. Comfort is a big consideration, the only headphones that are more comfortable are Bose but I'm not going to spend that much. I've had more than my share of cords that have gone bad. I've had these for awhile now and they are doing very well, so I'd say they are durable. For $20 these are a great buy, you won't regret it.
What's great about it: Good sound, comfort and durability
What's not so great: Short cord for anything other than personal device.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Yes, the free install was a "special" that week, not sure if they are still offering it. The HD radio works great. There are a few HD2 stations I like to listen to.

Can I fix the headphones or do i have to buy another pair?
I can't hear anything anymore because someone pulled my cord connected to my ipod.
Buy another pair. The wire on most headphones is very fine and hard to solder. That's what makes these headphone so great $20 and you're back listening to you tunes!

Is it bad to wear these during a slight drizzle/rain? In other words, is it bad to wear these while it is sprinkling outside?
Just worried. I just bought these and all of a sudden it started to sprinkle while I was walking to class and listening to music... the rain can be so irritating and disappointing.
I think they could take a sprinkle with no problem but I wouldn't want to subject them to more than that.
