Tremendous Upgrade

For quite a long time, I've had Time Warner's fastest available internet. A few months ago, I gave Time Warner their router back and bought Netgear's NightHawk X6. From that alone I noticed a huge difference. I wish I would've bought this modem when I bought my router. Not only am I saving money by using my own hardware, but my network is now flawless. I have extremely fast, extremely reliable and extremely consistent internet now. Both the upload speeds and download speeds are maxed out to this modems capability and I have absolutely zero complaints. This modem is wonderful! If you want the best possible internet, this piece is essential.

This is basically the perfect printer. It was easy to set up. Anyone could do it. It prints very well, much better than the Dell I had before, and it looks very nice as well, not a big and bulky printer. 5/5 stars!

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my parents. They like to sit on our back patio during the summer and listen to music off my dad's Samsung tablet while using a bluetooth speaker. Unfortunately, our old router was an N300 that we rented monthly from Time Warner Cable. For those who don't know, it wasn't very powerful. That being said, they would have to leave the tablet in the house and put their music on, which also meant they had to put the speaker close to the house. With this router, that is not the case. Although the router is at a central point in the basement of the house, we can still get a decent connection at the end of our property which is about 250 feet away. We get a great signal in the house and on the patio. We even get a good signal by our fire pit which is about 100-115 feet from our house. This router is perfect for us. Not just for the tablet, but for watching Netflix or playing Xbox online, or even downloading music from iTunes, it does not matter what you're doing. The internet connection is perfect. Netflix literally loads instantly. The setup process was easy as well. 8 very detailed, very simple steps. It also gives you the option to use the Netgear Genie app for those less experienced when it comes to household networking. 5/5 stars all day long. Games play better on Xbox One X. With 40% more power than any other console, experience immersive true 4K gaming. Blockbuster titles look great, run smoothly, and load quickly, and you can bring all your Xbox One games and accessories with you.

Most of Xbox's Exclusives are available on PC. This Device is Marketed as a High Performance, High Graphics Machine.
Sony and Microsoft are both making an odd play with a focus on higher resolution than higher FPS. But supposedly this thing can do "True 4K" at 60FPS for all games. Time will tell how much of that is true.

Console Wars are dumb, but Xbox Needs more Exclusive games to compete with Sony's lineup.
A PC can play most of the "Exclusives".

Dude, no. Just no. These reviews aren't for your opinion about exclusives. This is for a review of the product. Game libraries aside, this is the best $500 you could possibly even spend if you want to play video games. Outperforms the PS4 in every category AND it's cheaper than building a PC. Not that I don't love PC gaming, but who would bother spending $1,000-$1,500 (minimum) for a gaming PC that wouldn't offer much better performance than this?

Is it possible to set up a guest connection? If so, how difficult is it?
There is a way to setup a Guest network. If you follow the prompts, it will ask you to install the Netgear Genie app. Install that app for your PC and then go to the Router Settings. There will be a tab called Guest Access. Use that tab to configure a guest network.

No, this router has no phone jack. However, your provider should be able to give you a list of compatible devices.

To use wirelessly, go to Settings < Network < Set up internet connection < Use WiFi < Easy < Select your network < Type in your password < Do not use (Proxy Server)
