This TV and get dark and Bright with the best of them..... and I definitely mean dark and BRIGHT! contrast pops considerably! color is fantastic and HDR on this set truly shines! only gripe is that the way it handles motion handling and movement is sllliiightly not as good as the cheaper x900e (which I don't quite understand due to this TV having a stronger processor). but other than that this TV is definitely fantastic. and it will also get the Dolby vision update in the future for even stronger contrast than the HDR10 standard. just be mindful, this TV is heavy in comparison. would definitely recommend

Honestly for the price you will not find a better TV. It may not have as many dimming zones and strong internals as the Z9D, and for the price you are paying it's not supposed to. but with that being said... it's fantastic. picture quality and motion handling is hands down fantastic! Contrast and color are great for its class price wise. It really is the best bang for your buck TV. if you aren't concerned with dolby vision, then you really won't wrong with this TV

In a time where everyone is gravitating towards streaming 4k (as best as you can), there is something to be said for physical movies. 4k players especially, and this is definitely worth the price if you have a proper AV setup to take advantage of it. From a visual standpoint the performance is better than the Samsung 4k (which is no slouch) albeit just slightly. the upscale of regular blu-rays is fantastic, and when it comes to 4k movies, it's like bright deep clarity that is completely engaging. What really puts it over the edge though, which is why I said earlier for those with a proper AV set-up, is the SOUND. Sound is where it really leaves the other current crop of 4k players behind, since it's Hi-Res audio certified. The sound is completely full, completely engaging, and completely detailed. The visuals and the audio that this can put out definitely makes your movies come to life. I would only suggest this if a person had a proper 4k HDR television AND and a good AV unit to take advantage of it.

I will say that this is my first receiver venturing away from soundbars. Pairs well with my Samsung 4k tv and the sound is fantastic! can also pair with a set of sony wireless speakers so that you can get the 5.1 surround sound without wires having to go through your space. I will also say that if you really want to get the most out of your av receiver and products that are linked up to it..... make sure that your hdmi cables are definitely up to par. Now I'm not saying get a pair of expensive cables.. but definitely make sure that your hdmi cables are premium certified. rocketfish premium certified hdmi cables are not nearly as expensive as other more commercial name brand... but they are just as good for a lot less thanks to that premium certification by hdmi. you will not go wrong!

really liking this player. it shows excellent clarity and plays well with my 4k TV. granted it doesn't feel as premium as Panasonic's offering, but it's not as expensive as Panasonic's offering as well. So overall, no complaints.... it does what it's supposed to do.

This soundbar is really really good! the sound is very full yet balanced. the fact that it also meets up to date 4k passthrough standards is also a wonderful thing. so in those regards this soundbar is 5 stars. reason why I only put 4 however has nothing to do with the soundbar itself, but for the aspect of surround sound which is why I purchased it. I was told via a best buy rep that the soundbar can pair with the srszr5 wireless speakers to make for a surround sound system. so went ahead and purchased everything...... only to find out that the software update that would enable the soundbar to pair with the speakers has yet to be released. so in otherwords it won't pair until it releases a software update enabling such. if you are just looking for a soundbar and a woofer... this bar is definitely a worthy choice! if you are trying to do a wireless surround sound setup.... I would wait. the fact that sony would release an awesome sounding soundbar, awesome sounding rear speakers..... but yet won't release a software update that bonds the two together just doesn't make sense to me.

very good soundbar! most soundbars in this price range don't have a dedicated center channel, so the fact that this does already gives it an advantage for sound bars in this price range. it's good on it's own, but if you pair it with a couple of radiant 360 r1 speakers, it makes it even better as a 5.1 surround sound system.

I purchased this soundbar along with the swa-8000s for 5.1 surround sound. at first I was quite skeptical given the price collectively. but once I hooked everything up (and after some tweaking between the soundbar, tv, and bluray.... I must say I love the soundstage that it provides!! :-)
Bass could have a bit more oomph... but that's a very very minor complaint to an otherwise nice movie theater like experience! :-)

stellar 8000 series TV for the price

When I first picked up this TV, I thought something was odd about the way it was packaged, it had a best buy security seal. turned out I was right as the bottom of the screen had a significant crack in it. I immediately returned it and best buy did the exchange with the best courtesy and customer service. Soon as I booted it up, I was in complete awe at the picture....GLORIOUS! the picture was extremely vivid and nicely colorful...... and that is just on the natural setting! I was looking for a TV that was better than my Samsung 55 inch 1080p 960 clear motion rate (which still puts out a fantastic picture since it has a 240hz refresh rate), this SUHD js8000 definitely does not disappoint! even the remote is great to use! you won't regret this TV.... get it while it's still in stock.

Can't beat it for the $999 price tag

I too was a tad hesitant with the thought of purchasing a 4k television for just under a grand..... but it's great for what you pay for. 60 inch, 4k, one connect mini, dims according to how well the room is lit, very good clarity, and it was manufactured and released this current year. everything looks great from cable to Netflix to Blu-ray. granted it may not have the nano crystal since it's a revised 7000 series model, but if you adjust your settings to your liking you won't really miss much. Even review sights comparing 7000 to 8000 series even express such. again, for just under a grand....you won't regret this 4k TV

I was already to buy this TV- seems to be GREAT price!
BUT - IT DOES NOT HAVE 3D. Luckily, this was pointed out by the salesman. He told me that he had even called Samsung to check, and there is a misprint in the specifications,

I would love to give this soundbar a great rating. Unfortunately, I have had two of them and have yet to hear any sound. I ordered the first one, and the soundbar was dead out of the box. Returned that one today and exchanged it for a second unit. Exactly the same experience. I will obviously be returning this one, and I'm not sure what I will get in its place but it WON'T be a Samsung.

Not for anything, but in an attempt to troubleshoot if you are experiencing the same problem with two different units..... maybe it's something that you are NOT doing? Are you sure everything is hooked up the way it needs to be?

Just had my new tv and this soundbar installed to replace an age old 300$ home theater system and 10 year old plasma tv. I have to say I am very disappointed. I was curious and turned this 800$ system up as loud as it can go and it is no where near as loud as my old system was at half volume. Granted, it gets loud enough to to enjoy a movie but this thing should crank 2-3 times as loud as it gets. I can't believe I paid this much for a system that doesn't blow my socks off let alone not need to be turned down ever. I am typing this as my wife sleeps upstairs like a baby while I watch game of thrones at full volume. Disappointed

hold up!!!! are the wireless speakers up and running for the htnt5 soundbar now? I thought that it said the software for it wasn't available until June. that was the one thing that kept me from purchasing that soundbar!

This was recommended by the salesperson at Best Buy. I replaced a Bose when I purchased my new Sony UHD TV and I am really glad I listened to the salesperson. The sound is fantastic and the wireless subwoofer and add on wireless rear speakers make it feel like a movie theater. It also integrates with the TV which is an added bonus.

the bass has a setting that you can adjust. you can adjust the tremble, bass, subwoofer, and auto sync to your liking. also make sure that you set it to movie for best balanced sound

maybe the soundbar just may be a bad one? I have the soundbar and keep it anywhere between 18-25 for myself. but then again I have it with a pair of srszr5's for the surround sound feel. so anything beyond 25 is movie theater loud! also, make sure whatever the sound source is set to bitstream and either dts or dolby to really maximize the sound! :-)

Well this DVD player will play full HDR on a ku6300?
the 4k Blu-ray player itself can play 4k movies with HDR.... as long as the TV has the properties to actually display HDR content.

What is the difference between this model and the Samsung BD-J6300?
the difference is that this actually plays 4k format as opposed to "upscaling" it.

My Samsung soundbar came with a separate subwoofer that had a shiny finish...is this to protect it in shipping? Does it peel off?
the soundbar is the.1 in the 3.1 soundbar (3 channels, 1 subwoofer)
