This extensive release for fans of the kaiju monster Gamera offers a collection of over eleven films about the reptilian beast, including Gamera vs. Barugon, Gamera vs. Gyaos, Gamera: Super Monster, and many more.
Mill Creeks' decision to have only the original Japanese w/English subtitles & not English dubs is a little bit of a letdown. On a few of the movies, the stories get a little lost because the English translations are not very good on some & missing whole dialogs on others.
I also wish there were some extras; perhaps a 5th disc w/original trailers & behind the scenes / gag reel stuff. Oh well.
Overall, I am happy w/this collection. And a few other reviewers have mentioned the discs are stacked in the case. Maybe I just picked the right one, because my discs were on their own hubs- 4 discs, 4 separate hubs. I'm not sure, but it may be because I picked mine out of Best Buys $4.99 bin.

My wife needed a larger flash drive for family pictures & this fits the bill; plus it was on sale when I bought it. Easy to use, hard to lose & worked right out of the packaging. Could be a little faster, but does what it's suppose to.

What's great about it: Worked right out of the packaging
I saw Terminator many years ago when it was first released. I thought it was great then and it remains great today. This movie "still holds up". I recently purchased the remastered Blue-ray Disc. The color is crisp and clear and the sound is great. This action packed movie with terrific acting can be seen over and over again without getting boring. I would definitely recommend it.

DVD vs. Blu-Ray
December 19, 2014
Other than the (supposedly) better picture quality, what is difference between the Blu-Ray & DVD?
The Blu-Ray states it's bonus features are: •7 deleted scenes •Creating the Terminator: visual effects & music •Terminator: a retrospective
But the DVD's are: •Digital master from a hi-definition transfer •State-of-the-art 5.1 stereo remix •"Other Voices" documentary with new James Cameron interviews •"The Terminator: A Retrospective" documentary •"Terminated": deleted scenes with James Cameron audio commentary underlay •Hidden menus features •DVD-ROM script to screen •Original mono audio track •Original storyboards •Trailers •TV spots
The DVD seems to have more offerings than the Blu-Ray.
This collection includes all episodes from all seasons of the celebrate sci-fi television series Battlestar Galactica. The show chronicles the villainous Cylons' surprise attack on the Twelve Colonies who had believed they were gathering to sign a peace treaty after many years of war. The survivors are aided by a single flagship called the Galactica, and hope to travel a distant and legendary planet called Earth before the Cylons can claim it for their own.
This is the same standard-definition transfers first released in October, 2003. But, yes, I bought this repackage. Why? Because the original release was on double-sided discs which are more difficult to keep in mint condition. Also, the original disc holders are brittle clear plastic prone to breaking. Once the center button breaks, your disc is free to roam the confines of the fold-out box. Another thing is that the clear plastic disc holders could tend to crack the spindle hole of the discs, causing them to warp ever so slightly and, therefore, not play. Some sets had discs with manufacturing problems, as well. So, with this set, I'll still keep the original release but these are the ones I'll watch from now on. The original series, as well as the sequel series, Galactica 1980, have been remastered in HD and released on Blu-ray Disc, however, it's exclusive to Universal's German distributor. No one's sure how long the exclusivity agreement lasts, but it's available under the title Kampfstern Galactica.

Concerning BSG: Complete Epic Series (2/2014)

I don't have a Blu-Ray player, so if I do by this set, it'd be on DVD. I hate that these movie & TV companies just assume everyone has a Blu-Ray player!
Can you answer these questions for me: How many discs are in this set? Are ALL the episodes included & do you know if they are in chronological order? Are there any extras & what is the total time reported on the box?

Saving Memories
ByBoroBil
My wife passed away in 2014. I purchased the digital recorder so that I could preserve her voice. I used it to record a copy of her voicemail msg rom both her cell phone and our land line. It is the only memory I have of her voice. The recorder will be inside a shadowbox with her wedding dress, and other wedding memorabilia.
