Great Monitor for gaming!!

This is the best monitor for gaming. Games look amazing. Looks quality product. No dead pixel or light bleed on mine. Make sure to download and install the drivers from dell website. Dell drivers gave me the best color calibration. Everything else is default other than I set brightness settings to 40 for my needs. Gsync works great with my single titan x. All the new games looks buttery smooth with ultra settings.

What is the difference between the S2716DG and this S2716DGR?

DG model is for the online retailers like Newegg etc, and DGR model is for the stores retailers like bestbuy etc. Both models are the same monitors.

Is 144htz at 1440p possible with hdmi, or do you have to use display port to achieve that?

For 144 hz display port is required.
