I have the survivor for the iPad 2 and finally upgraded my iPad to the Air 2. Being very happy with the original Griffin Survivor, I bought the survivor for the Air 2 and greatly regret it.
Major problems: 1) Sound is muffled and distorted. Even though the case has ports for the speakers, it is misaligned (probably from tolerance issues) and covers the speakers. It sounds like I'm listening to everything through a plastic bag. When I tug on it slightly, it sounds much better but won't stay in place and becomes muffled again when I release the pressure from the speaker end.
2) having this issue, I decide to remove the case only to find I can't. After 30 minutes of "prying" according to the directions, my thumbs are bleeding and I'm giving up to avoid damage to my new iPad. There is obvious pressure to the screen when you try as you get those liquid lcd marks when then screen starts bending. My brand new iPad is permanently stuck in this stupid case. I can't remove my iPad from this case! This is a cell version too so it doesn't look like I can get to my SIM card anymore.
Yes, I've already reviewed Giffin's official video of installing their iPad air case as they mentioned in the other comment. I can't remove the darned thing without breaking my iPad. Give me back my iPad!
