not great picture - returning

I am a techie, working in silicon valley.
I personally found that control buttons are not natural/intuitive at all.
The picture quality is worse than my Macbook, Thinkpad and Dell monitor in office. Why?
1) The picture had a slightly greenish tint that I fixed after some struggle with these control buttons.
2) But the screen shows darkest grey as black Reducing contrast, playing with brightness setup did not help. See the picture of this monitor i took at 100% brightness in brightest mode.

What's great about it: sturdy,excellent design, speakers, hdmi-dvi inputs
What's not so great: picture quality, menu controls
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

2560x1440 led monitor when price not an issue!
Need such monitor with matt screen. Energy Star, portrait mode, hdmi, dvi.
Prefer Samsung, Asus, LG, Dell. Other features like USB hub, built-in speakers and other things are nice but not a decisive factor.

DELL 2560x1440 monitor is good one. why is redness in my moniter,like stripes
The redness, if you find them at the edges of letters, they are called 'moire' . They occur since the black letters/white background or similar high contrasty ares occur next to each other, but the screen itself is not able to exactly split and render it. ie. is detail levels are so high, but the monitors resolution is not.
Other than this, if you see red, it may be due to fault in the monitor, that you should get rid off.
