Charging station - Not iphone compatible

I'm using this as a charging station. It works great with my kindle, but does not work with my iPhone 4 docking station. The docking station works when the USB is plugged into an adapter at the wall, but not when the USB is plugged into the hub. The docking station light will come on, signaling power, but there must not be enough juice to give a charge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
