Bought this to operate an older Plasma screen TV. Could only get the TV to turn on, mute, and change input. The PIP function would not work. The menu did not work. It gave me one code for my TV brand and searching for a code that would operate the functions was long and tedious and still did not produce a different result
I looked for customer support on this and couldn't even find the model number through RCA website. Could not find a customer support number either.
I have always liked RCA products in the past but this was a disappointment! I will be returning it in the morning and buying a different brand.

I read some of the bad reviews and was a little hesitant about having to use my smart phone as the remote, but I've had no issues with anything.
I didn't have any issues with the set-up and it probably took less than 10 minutes to run updates and be up and running.
I was hesitant about having to use my smart phone as the streaming source, but that works perfectly and has no effect on being able to use my phone while streaming. Once you send it to the ChromeCast your phone is still totally functional. When your phone locks or goes to sleep your are still able to pause or stop your video without unlocking.
My only complaint so far was that I could see the power cord sticking out from behind my TV, and that is only because were the HDMI and USB ports are located on my TV. It's not a real big issue for me, but was the only thing I could think of.
For the price it is totally worth it and does what I wanted it to do. I wanted another source for my family to be able to watch their Netflix and YouTube videos besides the living room TV. That's what this does. My daughter also likes being able to listen to her Pandora, as well. I will probably get one for all the TV's in my house.

What's great about it: Small, portable, and easy to use.
What's not so great: The cords to connect it to the power source are visible behind my tv.
I would recommend this to a friend!
