Excellent Receiver

I got this to replace a 2015 Denon S910W that I was having serious problems with (no audio / video most time, despite taking it to a service center for repair: Official Denon repair center). So far for the past month+ this is working much better than the Denon in every way. I especially like the Phono input as it works great for our record player (using the Phono input and Pure Direct mode produces a great sound).

The auto-switching / HDMI-Control works great where I can just turn on my PS4 / Xbox / UHD Blu Ray Player and the Receiver and Tv will turn on and be correctly set for viewing / listening. Surround sound quality was great and setup was very easy.

Overall I think this is a great receiver and I'm glad I switched to Yamaha

Works Great!

This modem works great and on my current service plan (100 down / 10 up) I am getting around 70 down / 12 up on my iPhone and 100 down / 12 up on my laptop. No issues and webpages load super fast and any streaming video (Hulu, etc.) starts up in HD without any delay. The lights are a little bright, but that really isn't an issue for me.

Connectivity with Airport Extreme

How does this modem connect with Apple's Airport Extreme and Airport Express? I want to get rid of my Comcast Xfinity modem/router and go back to using my Apple routers.

I am using this with an Airport Extreme and it was simple plug and play without any issue. Works great and no compatibility problems.

Is this unit compatible with Cox high speed system?

I am using this in Virginia with Cox (100 down / 10 up) package and it is working without issue. It is also on their list of approved cable modems.

does this gives you a wifi connection as well

No, this is the modem only and you will still need a wireless router for WiFi.

can this modem be used with centurylink dsl?

Best answer

This modem is only for cable internet providers using the DOCSIS standard. This will not work for any DSL service and you will need an ADSL modem instead.
