Easy to Install and Covers Whole House

I purchased the Surfboard SBG6900-AC to replace a cable modem and separate router. The Quick Start Wizard does an excellent job. I did try to tweak my setting and that was not a good idea. I started over and with only a very few changes have had excellent and reliable coverage. With my old router, I had to use an extender in our family room.
I have COMCAST's Blast Internet. As can be seen from the SpeedTest I just ran, I am getting an outstanding download rate.
I have seen only one outage lasting 35 seconds since my final setup. This could well have been do to other factors and not the Surfboard.

In general, this is an excellent WiFi router. Not overly hard to set up and has excellent WiFi speed and great range. I have a number of computers and devices hooked up to it. I back up my computers with it as well. For someone who wants a solid general WiFi router, this is an excellent choice.
One of the things I wanted to do with it was to run a VPN service to have a secure link while using public WiFi. Alas, the latest firmware is buggy (others have found this as well) and it has broken VPN and some other passthrough services.
If you want to go beyond a straight WiFi router, this is not a good choice right now. I cannot recommend it for those who do.

After 10+ hours of tech support calls across 6 companies (Netflix, Eero, Time Warner, Roku, Amazon (Echo), & TCL (smart TVs), Eero finally informed me on a call back that their product had a known issue for ~6 weeks with my modem (TP-Link) and at least one other (Arris). This issue causes random erratic internet behavior that is clearly hard to diagnose. That would have been good to know on the first call; ouch. Thanks to a quick thinking Roku tech support manager who suggested using my iPhone's hotspot wifi, I was able to pin point that the Eero was the issue. Eero confirmed that my only solution is to get rid of the Eero or the TP-Link modem. I paid this much money for a product that was supposed to "just work". I guess things are not always that easy. :(

This would appear to be a problem with old code in the modem that ARRIS has fixed.

Store edited photos, videos, and games on this 3.5-inch Western Digital hard drive. It has dynamic cache for optimizing allocation between reads and writes, and there's plenty of space to store files with its 4TB capacity.

I HAVE NOT HAD IT LONG ENOUGH FOR A FULL EVALUATION. BUT IT'S THE BEST THING NEXT TO THE WD BLACK MODEL

Why Best Buy does not sell the WD Black Drives is beyond me. These drives have a two-year warranty whereas the WD Black drives have five years. While I did buy this drive to replace a failing drive, I would have preferred the Black.
