This is a case for an iPad Air 2. It does not have the proper cutouts for all four speakers. They simply slapped a sticker on Air 2 cases.
I reached out to the company about this and got some automated computer message about how wonderful the iPad Pro 9.7 case is. However, that case will not be released until May, 2016- that came from them. I don't think they understand that they are misleading people into thinking this case is for Pro 9.7. Yes it technically fits the device. But it does not have cut outs for the speakers and partially blocks the camera flash. I certainly would not spend this kind of money for a case that blocks your speakers. The speakers are amazing on this device! Save your hard-earned money and wait for proper cases to be released.

Hasn't been easy finding the right case for the iPad Pro 9.7. The device does fit in an Air 2 case but this device has 4 speakers and needs a larger camera cutout.
I waited for Best Buy to get these UAG cases back in stock... By this point, didn't care what color... Just wanted a case that fit with proper cutouts.
I honestly thought this would be a case to hold me over until more cases were released. This is a keeper.
It fits perfect & all cutouts proper. (Unlike others that claim to be for Pro 9.7 but lack 2 speakers cutouts because they're simply Air 2 cases).
It doesn't add too much weight to the device like my Air 2 Symmetry case did. But it still feels pretty durable and protective while allowing you to use it folio style. Nice part of Pro 9.7, like Air 2, was how light device is... This doesn't compromise that too much.
The iPad sits in a nice, tightly fitted rubber, which has nice corner protection. Outer part feels a bit grippy, which is nice.
Have to agree with another reviewer regarding the keyboard and taking the back piece off... It's a royal pain to put it back on.
I've been through four cases now for this Pro 9.7 and definitely rate this the highest. Pleasant surprise thinking this would be a temp case.

Does not fit Pro 9.7 properly

It does FIT the Pro 9.7 but blocks two speaker ports. Why they slapped a sticker on this iPad Air 2 case saying it is compatible for Pro 9.7 is beyond me. $50 and it doesn't fit. Nice case but not for the Pro 9.7

Even after being assured by Best Buy rep (who was great BTW & did look at these reviews with me) that this thing would fit, it doesn't.
Not even a week later & dust/dirt under both sides.
Contacted Zagg... who is now putting one out that DOES cover the edges. Zaggs reply was that this is SUPPOSED to fit like this. That this protector is supposed to have a halo effect on around the edges and that all of their products have a lift.
Huh?? So then why not advertise this as such due to the S7 design & inform your biggest retailer that the sides will NOT lay flat??
$700 phone... I don't want some misfit piece of junk covering the screen. And unfortunately, this is all Best Buy has to offer if you want to leave the store with a protector on.
Zagg is indeed putting out a new one that promises to cover the sides of both S7 and S7 Edge. I guess thats a coincidence? And they are NOT going to exchange these defects (that they claim are not defective). They are offering an exchange for the exact same product. So by that offer, and their joke offer of free shipping... we should be exchanging these weekly then?

Stay far away from this mess. Unless you want to be $48 out. $39.99 plus installation. You work too hard for your money... don't throw it away.

I like Speck products. Have had two iPhone cases and given a few as gifts within a problem. The case is good quality as usual but in my opinion the case was rushed to market. Looks like they took a standard iPad Ii case and put a iPad Pro label on it. In fact the package lists the iPad Ii first then the iPad Pro. Openings weren't matched and no speaker openings at all. Calling their customer service delivery and was told it should fit. Returning for refund.

I did exact same thing! They're slow to reply. I asked why slap a sticker on an Air 2 case. I received an automated message back all about the case that they are releasing in May LOL.

Does this case have 4 speaker openings and a "slot" for the smart connector on the new 9.7-inch iPad Pro?
I'd recommend this for now... It's lightweight and seems to be the only one on the market that is folio style but has the proper cut outs
