I started my system with B & W 685 s2 spekers and was happy with the sound for a while. When I added the HTM 62 I was more then happy with the sound it added, one of them being more imagining sound when watching movies. The second thing i noticed was there was much better sound seperation because the center was mostly focusing on the voices so it gave the bookshelfs less of a work load. I would forsure recomend a friend to buy the HTM 62 s2. Bowers and Wilkins make great products that last a long time and are realiable.

Enjoy your music with these Bowers & Wilkins 600 Series 685 S2 2-way loudspeakers, which feature 6-1/2" woven Aramid fiber woofer cones for clear sound. The 1" decoupled double-dome aluminum tweeters deliver crisp, pure highs.

Great speaker for the price point and has great sound quality! Love listening to music with the 2 channels just need to add a sub then ill be set! cant wait to get their big brother 683s in the future to get the full 5.1 feel for movies! But overall this new 685s are great speakers they can go way louder then i need them to and are very reliable!! 5 year warranty cant complain about that either!

What's not so great: Needs floor stands..

Your are right 4 stars is a great review but the reason i gave it that was due to lack a little in bass in my eyes but other than that the speaker is outstanding! Great Highs and Mids! But i did get a Martin logan Dynamo 700 sub for my system and ill tell you it sounds so complete is it awesome! Everyone that hears a demo of Music or a Movie just love how they sound! if i could i would give it 4.5 stars but no option to ;/ But i did change my mind to keeping just the bookshelfs for my fronts and i am going to get the HTM 62 for a center and a 686 for rears.
