I picked this up yesterday in Virginia Beach and it was $199 in-store. All the people at Best Buy are always very helpful and friendly. I chose this model because I needed a 32 inch tv to play my PS4 and watch movies on in the computer room. After setting it up and playing some PS4 all I can say is WOW. This tv has NO motion blur whatsoever which is crucial for gaming and any off angle viewing is flawless which is very hard to find on led tvs. The colors are so rich and spot on - no adjustments needed. The clarity and brightness of the picture are top notch as well. I had the Samsung UN32 4003 series 32 inch led tv two years ago and this 2015 model is so much better in terms of picture quality. NO crushed blacks in dark scenes and as I said the colors are perfect. I always had to tweak the older tv and the colors always seemed just a bit 'off'. So glad I purchased this set. It is nice and slim and with the little external power supply the set doesnt retain excessive heat as well. Nice move by Samsung as Sony does this in their W600 series LED's also. All 1080p content looks flawless on here and blurays and my PS4 are impeccable. What a steal for this amazing tv. Thanks Best Buy for having this item and for the great price as well.

I had to decide between this and its 1080p smart tv 'Big Brother'. I am happy I went with this set and saved the extra money. First of all as I looked at both sets in the store side by side this one just seemed to display a sharper image. Edges had more crisp lines and the blacks were more rich as well. Sometimes a company just gets things right with a certain set and Samsung has done just that with this 32 inch 4003 series tv. I have several hdtvs in my home and have had many others as well and all I can say is that this is one of the brightest and most crisp displays I have ever had. Everything looks amazing on here especially my Xbox One or PS4. This set really has a sharp image and the blacks are so dark with no washed out areas on the screen. It is also very bright and overall I have not seen a better looking 32 inch led tv out there for the money. This was a steal and one of Samsungs better made tvs - I know because I own 5 of them from plasmas to leds. Best Buy always delivers on the price as well - saved $25 with reward zone coupons also so I got the tv for $206 with tax - a steal for an amazing led tv.

Amazing picture quality
July 26, 2014
I had researched this tv the past week and it was $20 off as of yesterday bringing it down to $479.99. Over the past few months I have been looking for the 'perfect' tv that will give the best picture quality, sound, feature set as well as a general feeling of consumer satisfaction that we dont always get. I had previously tried similair models of Samsung and also a very nice Sharp Aquos. The Samsung plasma was nice but overall dim compared to LED. I tried an led Samsung and it had a very bright and sharp picture as is the general consensus on Samsungs but in a way that everything just looked 'to crisp and not as natural'. I then tried the Sharp Aquos and it was a very nice image but a little too soft overall. I have a 46 inch lcd Bravia I purchased in 2009 from Best Buy (kdl46w500) with the 120 hz processing and it is an amazing tv. Watching movies on it look incredible. It oozes Sony quality. I also purchased the 32 inch kdl32r400 Sony led tv last year from Best Buy and it too is an amazing smaller tv. So I have had very good experiences with Sony in general. I walked into my local Virginia Beach Best Buy on Independence Blvd. yesterday and when I saw the tv and the markdown it was a no brainer. As I said I had done alot of research online and had watched comparison vids with competing models from Samsung and LG. They all said the Sony was the best value for the money. BestBuy is a pleasure to go to. All of the staff are very courteous and helpful. I got home and set it up and the first thing I tried was The Underworld Awakening on my Sony Blu ray player. All I can say is.... wow! This tv renders such a sharp and colorful, lifelike image. I found myself so hooked and noticed so many details in the scenes with the clarity of the imagery from this tv. I then fired up my PS4 and the games were given a new lease on life or so to speak. Just an amazing image quality in all material I tried and the sound is beautiful as well. There are so many menus and settings to customize the tv to whatever your needs may be. I personally love the vivid settings on the Sonys so that is what I have mine set to. I couldnt be happier and have truly found the best overall led tv I could get. In my opinion when you see a Sony tv and get used to the natural lifelike image it emits there is NO going back, Great job Sony and I look forward to buying many more blu ray movies to enjoy on this amazing set as well as PS4 titles. Rest assured all purchases will be done at my local Best Buy.

If I own a GPU that is capable of running Blu-Ray movies on my PC, which HDTV do I need ?

Not too long ago, I purchased a GeForce GT 220 GPU, and hooked it up to my Vizio VO320E HDTV. The GPU is able to run Blu-Ray movies, but the Nvidia Control Panel application says that my HDTV is not HDCP-capable.
An HDCP capable display is what you need with a dedicated HDCP input line so you can run the GPU thru the tv display for the bluray image.

I see gray and white lines on my 51" toshiba big screen tv when we first turn it on. It goes black upon changing channels. IS it dying?

If the set is older it may be having 'warm up' issues or if its not old it could be a backlight bulb issue. Other than that it could be your brightness is on auto adjsut or you have it set high initially and it dims it down after boot up. Check the settings maybe run the default vivid or cinema mode.
