Review Compared to other TVs in this Price Range

My review is a 5 star because I am reviewing it compared to other TVs in this range. It is not a 5 star due to being a perfect television or near perfect. You would need to spend a couple thousand for that.
First things first. The quirks. There is clouding on a completely black screen. As you power it up you can see it. However when watching movies with a nearly completely black screen it is either not noticeable at all or barely noticeable depending on the content.
The built in apps stream 4k but not 4k hdr. This will require a firmware update down the road. It does however upscale well and if you play a 4k HDR video from the built in apps it still looks very impressive.
The power cable may be inconveniently placed for some mounts. Its right smack in the middle of the TV. Not a problem with my style of mount however.
The legs are 47" apart and are very long. It will require a rather long entertainment stand if it isn't mounted. I would suggest something 52" or larger to give a little bit of space on each side.
There is slight judder present depending on content. I am sensitive to Judder and it doesn't really bother me. Most people won't see it but if you are sensitive to Judder its worth noting. Again doesn't bother me much.
Now on to the pros
Sound - This TV has the best built in speakers of any TV I have ever owned, it also has a lot of customization available to you to adjust the sound.
4k Picture - 10. It is crisp and clear
Brightness - 10. The TV gets bright enough to cast light across my entire basement.
1080 Picture - 9. It looks really good, it can be a bit soft on certain content.
720 Picture - 9. Same as above
480 Picture - Looks just as awful as it does on any HD TV I have owned. First world problems but if I am being objective its a 9.
BLU RAY - I have played a hand ful of blu ray discs, picture looks gorgeous 90% of the time it is judder free.
Video Games - 8.5 - There is little to no lag. I have another TV that is well known for being nearly lag free and its very difficult for me to tell the difference. There is slightly more lag when HDR games are being played on multiplayer but worth the hit for the visuals IMO.
HDR - This is something that is difficult for me to compare but again comparing this TV to others in it's price class I would give it a 10. It passes all tests on my xbox one s for HDR 10 Bit. If I compare it to my OLED Laptop its obvious that OLED HDR is the cream of the crop but its not so different that I think its "fake" hdr. Again best in its class.
Take the time to adjust and calibrate this TV. The xbox one s has a menu to help you with this and get you in the right direction and it makes a huge difference.
I was able to get this tv for $760 after tax. A 65" HDR 4K TV for under $800. Even if it cost me $800 I would still feel as positively about this tv comparing it to others in its class. This is not a ks8000 series or similar, it is not an OLED tv and thus unfair to compare them. I can say this, I was going to buy the ks8000 and decided to get this instead because comparing cost and value this TV was half the cost and not much of a step down across all area's that mattered to me.
My Best Buy number: 2556585802
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great phone, bad operating system
By Mikef91 from Phoenixville, PA
I was attracted to this phone because of its screen size. It is a beautifully crafted piece of technology. Where I ran into problems was with the Android operating system. I currently have an iPhone 5s and have used Samsung Galaxy devices briefly in the past. I find it hard to believe that with a brand new phone simple apps like ESPN Scorecenter and Citibank Mobile are not compatible with the device. These (and some other apps) are apps that I use on a regular basis. This is a dealbreaker for me. This goes to show that Apple's iOS is the superior operating system. I will be returning the phone and sticking with my 5s with the hopes of a bigger screen iPhone coming soon.

It is your tech knowledge not the OS
July 18, 2014
You should stay with iOS. It was made for people such as yourself. People that have little to no technical expertise. Each app you mentioned works just fine. I have the same OS and I have those two apps.
What happens with apps and OS version changes is this. A new OS comes out and the developers of the apps then have to develop an updated version. If you would wait 1 day or click check update your apps would of been updated and they would work fine.
iOS is a really good operating system if you like to have a completely locked phone that only lets you do what you want. It is also a great OS if you need something to be so simple that children and old people can do it. Android is for people that want more control over their devices and a personal experience.

Superb HDR TV for the price!
By Khadgart
I got this TV because I am a heavy console gamer. I own both the PS4 Pro and Xbox One S and I knew I wanted a TV that supported the HDR10 standard that both consoles support. I was looking at the LG 7700 series, however, for $500 less and very similar features this Hisense looked promising. I went to BestBuy to look at a floor model. Unfortunately, they don’t display this TV so I had to just hope that it would fit my needs. When I got it home I was absolutely blown away at the detail the picture had. I got this for $750 on sale for Presidents weekend. For anyone who uses a TV primarily for gaming, I would HIGHLY recommend this TV.
If you’d like a full review on specs and all that, this is where I got my information.

Comment replying to Logan and general XBOX 1S info
February 22, 2017
To get the XB1s to recognize the HDR and 4k you have to go into the tv settings on the tv itself and find the HDMI settings to change from standard to enhanced. Then power cycle the xbox if you already had it turned on.
The only issue here is the XB1s seems to suffer from an issue where when it recognizes an HDR signal it dims the tv it is connected to so much that it makes it hard to see the picture. Dare Devil in HDR coming from the XB1s looks awful. Forza 3 in HDR either looks too dark, or too blown out. It is a bit depressing but this an issue with the xbox and not the TV.
I have read several forums and it seems that it happens on LGs, Vizios, Sammy TVs even the amazing ks series, as well as others. That bit is disappointing since I went and bought the new 1s simply to get the full functionality of my tv. I dont know if it happens when you throw in an HDR Blu ray disc but so far it does for disc based games as well as streaming content. Again this is an xb1s issue and not the TV.

Calibration Settings
February 22, 2017
I am uncertain if my calibration settings would be good for you. They are calibrated based off of the xbox 1s tuner and that is based off the output the 1s provides. That all being said I actually reset my tv today because I wanted to show my friend the demo that comes on the tv at startup. Once I recalibrate I can post my settings here.
When I first purchased the TV I did use the Rtings calibration settings but changed from movie mode to standard and I thought it looked really good. Then I used the xbox 1s and thought it looked slightly better. I think you would be well served with the RTINGs calibration settings and then adjusting from movie - standard depending on your preference. Movie too me made the tv look a bit more yellow than I would like but standard look just right. So if you dont want to wait for me to recalibrate I personally think RTINGs is a good place to start despite those being different sets.

Smart features are limted
By Gary02453 from Watertown, MA
This review is about Smart features: this TV uses Opera TV OS, and set of "smart" features is quite limited (unless you want to see RussiaToday in 10 languages). For example, there's no app to view Photos (from phone or LAN) installed or in AppStore. No ChromeCast / PhotoViewer, no DLNA, no PLEX. Youtube is the only app that supports Cast as far as I could tell so far. The AppStore appears to be very limited, community of users is limited, and it's rather hard to come by about any information of features or development...

Not sure what you're talking about
March 22, 2017
The TV has a built in casting app that allows you to cast for nearly any mobile device. So that removes your comment about the issue for viewing photos from phone or lan. It also can view photos from your lan through the networking features on the TV. I can cast anything I want to my tv.
