Take the Leap or Just Dip Your Toes into Crypto

I am finally giving it a go and leaping into the Crypto currency world. Well, leap is a stretch... more like dipping my toes into it. The first thing I want to do my best to ensure that it is in fact encrypted and protected. For those of you newer to Crypto it's a currency that is totally digital with no physical assets to account for unlike a dollar bill.
Now that I've cleared that up. The Trezor is pretty neat. It's not as stealthy or as much of a beauty as I expected but it seems to have all the bare bones I need to ensure I can confirm my currency transfers, verify my balances, and it has a dual control pin so that there isn't a way for someone to log into my account without me verifying that log in.
The LCD screen is responsive and for something that was not in color and super basic I had an immense fear I'd push the wrong buttons since the screen is so small but it is pretty intuitive and responsive to touch.
The connection port is USB-C so Trezor made sure to standardize the cable with other cables in recent years which is an advantage.
Now the size is absolutely great for the sake of being discrete, fits in a pant pocket, bag, or even luggage. It's rounded shape also means it will not snag on anything. My only concern is that the USB-C port to the Trezor T is exposed and doesn't have a cover so I fear that small debris or condensation might get in there. I'll report on that as time passes.
There is a micro sd slot which I haven't quite figured out yet.
In the box you get the Model T, the USB C wire, and a magnet to store the Trezor T anywhere. I was a little baffled with the instructions because the box doesn't really give you details on whether to break the seal on the Model T before you do anything else. My gut reaction with all devices is to charge them before use. I'm going to guess that Trezor needs to update this for effective set up. That took me a bit to understand and I wish it was a bit simpler. Otherwise, once your plugged into a pc the setup is fast. I have no idea if I could have set it up from my phone because Trezor doesn't clarify that, so that is a pitfall for me. I don't want to have to turn on the computer to access my Trezor and Crypto each time.
Overall, this is a great little device to add to your gadgets if you are managing crypto and want to ensure to add a layer of security. My favorite part of the device is the multiple passphrases that are unique to your device. It makes it even more layered with security.

A Breeze to Setup and Perfect for Home

I’ve had a smart doorbell for a few years now (another brand) and I’ve been trying to find one to replace it. Then comes Arlo and I’m excited to share that it’s been an upgrade so far.
I had stalled on replacing the other doorbell because it was tough to find an upgrade that I absolutely loved.
It’s a breeze to get started: 1. Download the app 2. Install it 3. Watch it work
I’m wanting the wireless doorbell now but that will have to wait.
Video resolution is amazingly sharp and clear and the sound is crisp when I tune in via my phone. I think my favorite feature right now is the text to voice feature. When you get someone soliciting something at your door, instead of speaking up yourself you can choose a preset message like “not interested” and the Arlo sends the message over spear to the doorbell. I went outside to listen and the volume was not overly loud.
The events/history recordings are also easy to access and easy to share or download.
My only drawback was connecting the doorbell to my built in doorbell to my home.
Otherwise it’s been a stellar doorbell for my homes

Really Puts A Smile On Your Face

The case… pun intended brought a smile to my face for sure. I just got the new iPhone and I wanted it for a festival. It’s totally the vibe. I don’t like having my phone exposed without a case to protect it. I love how bright the smiley faces are and they are just as bright in person as they are in the pictures.
Casetify nailed the quiet flex for me. I love that the edge of the case is silicone or rubber so if it bumps something it won’t crack. The back of the case is translucent, while the melted smiley faces are spread throughout.
My usual concern with cases is quality and whether or not the phone will fall or slip out over time. You’d think that it 2023 that’s impossible but it’s not. This isn’t the case with Casetify and I tested that by popping the phone in and out of the case.
One small dislike is that the brand name is printed right on the rim of the camera hole. I don’t mind it so much but just something that is noticeable.
I am very pleased over all and will keep on getting the cases as long as they are made for my iPhones. I think this is my third or fourth Casetify case so I’m a fan for life.

A Dated Device with Lots of Wire

Wires, wires, wires… I’m unfortunately not excited about the Jubilee because it is an accident waiting to happen, the materials used to create the device are poorly designed. The company didn’t even go as far as printing the buttons on the remote. They are misaligned stickers all over and the actually Jubilee box is covered in ghastly stickers that I would not want to display in my grandmother’s home or mine.
I honestly feel like this screams hazard from the wires coming out of every corner to the y plug included to use for the device and the smart plug.
All of this feels unnecessary and poorly thought out.
If you’re looking to help your loved one get this setup with ease be ready for a headache of having to stop the setup and wait for a appointment to set the system up so you can get a code. I came to find out that unfortunately they could only call me during the hours that I was working which is highly inconvenient. In 2023 most applications have a point of authentication to get set up done but this is one hurdle you cannot avoid.
Between the underwhelming design, the poorly placed logos, numbers, letters, and words, and the awkward set up process I can’t in good conscience give this a great rating.
I’ll sum it up that if this is a headache for me I couldn’t imagine this being simple for my grandparents or even parents.
I do like the camera feature but that wasn’t a deal breaker either when there are other much simpler devices out there that accomplish this and more.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The jBud Your Office Setup Needs

From time to time I find myself needing to use my computer camera and no matter how much laptops evolve the cameras are or have been terrible. I upgraded to a wired camera and I’m not surprised how great it looks and how crisp my viewers mention the audio is.
Jlab came through with the audio and I was scared that they wouldn’t do well with the camera but I love

Setup was done in a cinch and not much else needed other than plugging it in and setting up your preferred settings on the camera.
The design is also a bit nicer than my other wired cameras at work. I’m a fan of small luxe looking design touches. The fabric in front of the camera resembles charcoal tweed which is a small flex for me. I also like that the cable is braided and not the hard plastic cable of years past. Those two touches make the accent to my office set up a little more elevated for my computer.
Let’s be real, adding another wire can be daunting and trust me I contemplated how much I need it but I just can’t handle the built in cameras my computers have currently.
My only notes for you are that the camera is 1080p and not 4k and the camera doesn’t follow you or track you like some of the newer cameras out there. Not deal breakers but I found more advantages to the JBuds Camera than disadvantages.

A Slim and Significant Upgrade for Home Office

The ideal resolve for work and gaming for when you want to hide most of the wires! You'll notice in my photo that I haven't hidden the Hub but that is the plan. So many people post their set ups and everything is hidden. My goal is to get there and more.
Set up is super basic, you'll unbox the device, set up the wires, plug it into your device and get going.
My favorite feature is that we are finally getting to a world where the wires for the added peripherals are becoming thinner and thinner. The USB-C wires are more petite and easier to store and wrap together. If you want the 4K experience make sure to upgrade your displays to the HDMI to USB-C wires. You will thank me later for sure.
I'm not sure what I am going to use the fourth USB-C port for but I might use it charge my headphones.
As far as data transfer is concerned you can see from my photos that there is no delay, the images are crisp, there isn't any pixelation.
My significant other has already asked that we get another for our other office so that they can have the same setup. I'd say that this makes the Satechi Hub upgrade worth it.

A Pinnacle and Literal Game Changing Upgrade

Never in my adult life did I think I would be able to install my own memory upgrade... So if you are like me and you have this idea that you can't upgrade your own memory card, think again because you can (if I can).
Set up was simple and it is such a game changer (pun intended) for my ROG Ally! I recently started Starfield and the game has amazing graphics, it's a bit of a slow burn to get into but the graphics make it hard to put down. The speed and the images being clear and amazing, I attribute to the WD Black upgrade.
The install took about 15 minutes from taking out the first screw to turning on the ROG and letting it do it's thing. Be advised the after it turns on it takes about an hour for it to optimize itself and it guides you through the process.
I travel for work annually and I am always bummed when I fly internationally and I can't play my games via the Cloud. That is changing now, I can't wait for my trip to South Korea next month. I like to wind down in my hotel room and play something to just vibe.
My final thoughts, this upgrade makes you feel like you've got the greatest gaming set up of all time. Thinking back to earlier consoles the trouble was always two things: 1.) How do I take all my cartridges with me on trips 2.) Why can't I save all of my hard work in all of my games (then having to compromise and delete old pinnacles of my youth). I am positive this ends now! I hope that you are having as much satisfaction with your upgrade as I am.

Experience Sounds Like You Haven’t Before

Technics is on a roll with their stuff for me. I have their turntable and that is a show stopper for family. For me personally these earbuds are amazing. I paired them with my portable gaming system and they are a masterpiece for sound.
I am recently playing Starfield on my system and the sound literally feels like I’m in space (or at least what space should sound like).
Better yet is that I can pair the earbuds with three devices so at any given time if my phone rings while I’m playing my game I can answer my phone and the earbuds automatically switch over to my call. I didn’t think that feature would be so helpful but I’m a fan for sure.
The sound with music is certainly in its own space. The nuances seem small at first but I have earbuds I use for the gym and recently I’ve taken my technics with my and I find myself stopped dead on my tracks when I realize there is something on a track I’ve never heard before.
One instance is a Shakira track where she takes a breath at the beginning of the song. My song was changing to this track specifically and the BREATH was so pronounced I thought I had run into someone and I tore the earbud out because I scared myself. I hadn’t experienced sound like this and I’ve had loads of earbuds and headphones of all sorts.
You might be thrown off by a name you don’t recognize but don’t let this deter you. I hope you find tracks like me to fall in love with again and discover whole new pieces to songs like I have.
These aren’t just for fun they are for experiences!

Simply the Best Alarm System

Simply put… it’s a winner for me in 2023! I’ve had systems that went out of business and my equipment was no longer supported. This is my second Simplisafe system and I’m super impressed on how subtle it is when it comes to be incorporated into my home and how it has evolved.
My favorite features are the slim keypad, the key ring remotes to set the alarm from my pocket, and the sensors!
The camera was a little larger than I expected and I sort of would have preferred something more slim and discrete. However it does have a nice sleek design element so it’s not as bad as I thought.
My only concern so far is that I had my previous system wired to be discrete so you couldn’t tell there were sensors. I was hoping to mirror that with my new system.
It’s going to take some practice and retrofitting some windows but I’m very happy overall with my system.
If you’re looking for a system that won’t break the bank but keep you up to date on monitoring your place then this is the system for you.
I suggested it to a friend and he has already set his up for his 2500 square foot home. He said he’s amazed at how fast and easy it was to set up. We both agreed we want to expand with other accessories as soon as we can.

Exceptional Sound For All Music

I am absolutely enjoying the comfortable earbuds by Technics. The sound is actually exceptional for two main reasons: 1. Sound profiles that you can tailor 2. The comfortable ear tips make long lasting music streaming easy.
Set up is a breeze and rough of the box you are set to go within a few minutes. I opted for the larger ear tips which made the music more full in my ears. For years I thought the smaller a tip meant better sound.
The charging case and earbuds have a beautiful matte design with gunmetal colored accents. The charging port is a USB-C port which I am excited to see. I’ve had a few sets of headphones/earbuds and I’m glad to see Technics adopted the technology.
The Technics application is pretty cool. It lets you choose sound profiles based on your music and it shows you the health of each of the earbuds and case. You can also track the device in case it is misplaced which is spot on and an awesome surprise to find and have. I usually leave them in my gym bag or work bag so the GPS feature was actually helpful.
I played a few tracks to test out the earbuds. First I played Taylor Swift’s “High Infidelity” and I was able to hear the synth instrument, then Taylor’s voice comes in… however it’s the bass drum that astonished me. The bass pulsed and it didn’t affect the quality of the track or compromise the earbuds by rattling the internal parts! Two thirds of the way into the track I switched the profile to Dynamic and an acoustic guitar’s strings came into range!
I’m amazed how far audio technology has come. Go get these and thank me later!
