Modem portion is good, wifi range is terrible

I bought this modem as I wanted an all-in-one modem/router solution and did not want to rent from the cable company. What you really end up getting is a jack-of-all-trades, master-of-none situation. The modem portion is fine - when I hardwired in via ethernet I got 100 Mbps+, however when connected over wifi, I could get anywhere from 3 Mbps to 20. The router also had difficulty reaching the back rooms in our 1500 sqft house. I ended up throwing this in bridge mode and connecting an OnHub router...sure enough, signal strength issues and wifi speeds improved immediately. You would be better off paying less for just a compatible modem and then picking out a stronger router, instead of trying a combo.

Might be better off buying a stronger router

I bought this as we were having network issues in our home office - the wifi signal was weak and would drop. This extender is really only as good as the signal it is extending. The LEDs indicated we had a good signal in the office, but really all it did was extend the already weak signal. However, we did experience fewer drops. I ended up returning this in exchange for a better router.
The setup was very easy and the included instructions clearly explain the setup and the LED indicators.

I upgraded to the Acer Chromebook 15 from the Acer Chromebook 11. I was happy with the 11, but I wanted a bigger and higher-quality screen. The Chromebook 15 delivers on both of those. The screen is amazing, the two top firing speakers on the keyboard are great, and the 4 GB of RAM makes this thing run like a breeze. I urge anyone shopping for a Chromebook to go with the 4GB option. My Chromebook 11 only had 2GB and with a few tabs open in Chrome, it would start to bog down.

I'm paying for 25 Mbps from the cable company (they upped our speeds to 100+Mbps) but with a Motorola SBG6580 router / modem combo we were getting anywhere from 3 Mbps to 20 Mbps given the time of day / location. Decided to give the Google OnHub a try and found it to be worth the $200! Setup is really easy - the hardest part was setting the gateway into bridge mode (shuts off the wifi portion of the modem/router combo, not a necessary step if you just have a broadband modem). After that I fired up the OnHub app and it took over. We now get the 100 Mbps we were promised by the cable company and there is consistently good signals throughout the entire house (1700 sqft). Heck, the signal reaches a few houses down the street. I also love being able to manage and monitor the router from the OnHub app. In there you can see which devices are connected and even prioritize bandwidth (watching Netflix? You can make your set-top box the priority).

It isn't the best tablet you'll ever use, but it is perfect for streaming, web surfing, and reading. The touch screen isn't very sensitive, so you really need to press sometimes or tap the screen a few times. It also does not multitask very well. Open a few apps and the tablet will really slow up. It's completely frozen once or twice. However, for $130, it isn't terrible and is running Android Lollipop. No idea if it will get the Marshmallow update though.

I was tired of paying $20 a month to the cable company for channels I could get OTA for free. Purchased the Mohu Leaf 30 and was able to pick up the essentials: Fox, CBS, NBC, ABC. Granted, you have to check the signal strength in your area, but I didn't have any trouble picking up the major channels.

I know Google just came out with a new version of the Chromecast, but you can get the original for basically a steal. This is the easiest way to stream your mobile content to the big screen - no $99.99 set-top device required. Used mine everyday, but eventually traded it in for a Nexus Player (liked the idea of having an actual remote and not having to rely on my phone).

Powerful on carpets, lacking on floors

This thing is amazing on carpets! I couldn't believe how much more dirt / pet hair it was able to pick up after using it immediately after the Bissell it replaced. The ball also makes it very maneuverable and easy to use.
The only area it really struggles is on laminate floors - I find that a lot of the dirt ends up being pushed aside and doesn't get sucked up. If you have a house that is predominately hard floors, this may not be the best choice for you. I end up using a small Shark stick vac on the laminate floors instead.

Great little Chromebook at a great price! Perfect for surfing the net and getting some light work done in google docs. Sold my Surface Pro 3 and I use this as its replacement.

I've used several Windows Phones over the last year or two, but the Blu Win HD was my first non-Nokia Windows device. I knew very little about Blu going in (besides that they made several budget devices for Android and Windows). I used this phone on T-Mobile and was able to get great service / data speeds, despite not having LTE. Overall, the phone feels similar to the HTC One M8 in-hand, except the back is plastic. The camera was average (no where near as good as the high-end Lumias) but probably just as good, if-not better than my One M8.
My purchase included a screen protector, which is also a nice inclusion by Blu.
