I've used a variety of headsets from several brands for years. Playing mostly Xbox One (Destiny, COD, Halo, etc..) , but also some PC gaming (CS:GO mostly). My previous favorites were the HyperX Cloud and a pair of Astro A40s I had for a while.
Comfort: The Arctis Headset is so ridiculously comfortable. My ears used to get hot from gaming to the point where I'd take one ear off, then switch, .. repeat. The material on the earcups is super soft and breathable and the headband isn't too tight on my big head. The headset looks simple, but man is it comfy.
Sound: I'll start by saying I'm not an audiophile. I simply need my headset to be loud and clear and the Arctis is both. I swear i hear little things that I hadn't heard before. I'm playing Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and I can hear every little noise the sneaky police are making. I love it.
I haven't played much multiplayer yet, but I've made a few phone calls on the headset and I'm told I sound very clear. That certainly wasn't the case before.
Considering I paid less for this headset than any of my past ones, I will definitely recommend it to my gamer friends.
