Quick!

This was for my late 2012 27" iMac. The drive went belly up on me right in the middle of a project. Lucky I'm nuts about backing up. Anyways, installed the drive (not fun on an iMac) and the machine was back up, fully restored by the next day.
I'm in the design business. I run all Adobe software, heavy video work, thousands of fonts... You get the idea. Booting this machine took between 4 and 6 minutes from power to full ready. I rarely turned it off because of it.
With this drive I'm at under 20 seconds from power to full ready.
Don't think I have a single app that takes longer than 5 seconds to open.
Very happy, though there is something a little dirty about having a part from Apple's mortal enemy living inside my machine. LOL!

Capture Ultra HD photos and videos with this DJI Inspire 1 V2.0 CP.BX.000103 drone, which features a 4K camera with a smartphone app for easy editing and setting adjustments. The 3-axis stabilization gimbal helps ensure a clear, crisp picture.Fly Responsibly:Before takeoff, update all software and firmware, and read the instructions thoroughly.See the FAA website for requirements and information about flying a drone safely: https://www.faa.gov/uas/getting_started/fly_for_fun/. To complex a product for a simple review

This IS a great product. I want to start with that so my 3 stars aren't misinterpreted. But there's more to this than it seems.
The Drone:
The vehicle is nearly a 5 star product. I say "nearly" because a lack of documentation, fast support and consumer familiarity with UAVs greatly increase the chances a purchaser will do something to ground themselves without even realizing it. Firmware updates for example. They must be done in a specific order. First the vehicle, then the R/C, but when you take your new Inspire 1 out of the box and turn everything on the controller will tell you there are updates. If you do what it is asking you to do, you'll basically make your drone useless. (You can fix it yourself if you know how.) Being careful is arguably not enough to guarantee a good experience. It's important for you to know this going in. It really isn't a toy.
The Camera:
My disappointment with this product really stems from the camera. Keep in mind that the difference between this package and many of the other Inspire bundles boils down to the camera. The specs seem similar enough on paper, right? They are not. I repeat, THEY ARE NOT SIMIAR AT ALL!
Does the included X3 shoot 4K? Yeah, but not 4K you actually want, so if you feel you really need 4K this is NOT the product for you. Move along to the Inspire 1 that includes the X5 camera or X5R (overkill for most). The X3 that is included in this package can be tricked into filming passable full HD at rates up to 120fps (contrary to what the specs say with the 60fps limitation).
On the upside, video stabilization is impeccable. The video you do get is going to be smooth as silk.
Still Shooting:
Photos are 12MP but very noisy and over compressed, so your 12MP photos will be about as valuable as a 4 - 6 MP still if you're lucky, and if you're considering anything low light? Scratch that. Don't consider anything low light. LOL!
All this said, you will love this product if you buy it with a clear head and solid understanding of its limitations.
I'm purchasing the X5 camera and mount as the X3 can't handle what I need, but that's me. Video of the kids, vacations, or for use as a simple visual inspection device? This will do very, very well for you.

does it work with iMac 27 inch late 2012? Thanks.

Yes. Works great. The late 2012 runs a full 2.5" drive so you're going to want a mount adapter for the drive as it is laptop size.

Don't know if you've ever taken your iMac apart but you're going to want to be crazy careful with that too. The screen is held on with dougle-sided tape (yeah, I know), so you're going to want to grab a roll of Scotch, black, heavy weight (30lbs) tape so you can get your monitor back on. Best thing to do is cut it unto thin strips with an exacto-knife, on parchment paper and on a cut friendly surface. Cut the strips about an 8th of an inch. You're also going to want to make absolutely certain you get ALL the old take off the back of the monitor AND inside the case. Can't stress that enough. The new take will NOT hold if you don't. If this sounds like too much just let Apple do it.

They didn't design the iMac to be end-user serviceable. You can do it but it ain't fun. :-)
Good luck!
