Great overall purchase

I bought this sound unheard from BB but I did profile the lesser Dynamo 600 at Magnolia. In an in-store comparison, the Dynamo 600 lost to the smaller DEFTECH SuperCube because the speaker excursion in the down firing position caused a rattle in the store so I couldn't get a good discern on audio quality. The DEFTECH filled the room with more sound but also has a different configuration (dual radiators). But since I was building a ML Motion system (I bought the Motion 40 fronts, 6 center and FX surrounds) I wanted to stick with the brand to ensure "sound equilibrium", if you will.
When I eventually received it, it's as aesthetically innocuous as most other subs. You have a very appealing variable downward or side firing positions which is great, but not really necessary (bass is not nearly as directional compared to other higher frequencies like voices). Setup & mating to my AVR was a snap even in a wireless configuration for any non-techie (not like myself - I know my way around these 'electrical parts'). I didn't use the floor spikes since this was going on a tile floor and this is the point where my experience with the sub begins to fork. So neutral on aesthetics and +1 for setup if you're keeping score.
Plugging it in and ripping it for the first time, my 20' x 40' space was lit up with amazing bass from almost every position (there's a few dead spots as can be expected). The bass is deep-toned but tight because of the sealed enclosure and you're able to adjust the gains to suit any condition of audio listening. I sampled movies (Avengers) and audio tracks from hip-hop to reggae, EDM to country and for most genres, it did awesome (a little 'shy-er" on EDM type music). Overall, a +2 awarded on audio quality.
Now, where things get a little annoying for me is anytime you crank up the volume, the speaker will start to "walk" across my floor because the vibrations from the speaker excursion just simply are greater than the downward weight of the sub which cause it to move. So I find myself constantly having to re-position my subwoofer during high volume experiences. The provided floor spikes are great in a carpeted environment combat this but the rubber feet simply don't cut it on tile. Not sure about wood floors nor have I tried the sideways firing condition because I have kids and dogs and don't want to risk damaging the speaker over a careless accident. So -1 awarded for usability.
Lastly, I've had it for a few months now and from the numerous times I've had to re-position my sub, fingerprint oils are quite noticeable on the matted finish. So while it's not an arduous task to wipe clean - it's nothing I should truly be worried about in terms of speaker care. It should be a quick feather dust and move on really. 0 further awarded for usability.
Overall, I've come to overlook the annoyances because sound quality always trumps and if you're looking for a big sub to power a large room, this wins. This is a hands down a remarkable sub. Sure there's other comparables out there, especially outside of what BB sells but for what you're getting, the customer service from BB (which I must say is a large reason why I return and why I was able to purchase this sub in the first place), this is money well spent in my books.
I live by the mantra of you get what you pay for - and when you pay for Martin Logan, you get Martin Logan. The brand, the sound and the quality. But don't take my words for it. Judge for yourself in store and make your own decision. Hope this helps!
My Best Buy number: 1015628142
What's great about it: Sound quality, compact size, wireless option included
What's not so great: fingerprints on the sub when you touch it, horrible on tile floors
I would recommend this to a friend!
