I decided to get a new WiFi extender because whenever I streamed TV shows and movies (previously purchased an Amped|Wireless extender for the internet box connected to my living room TV), the buffering would 5 hours to watch a 1 hour movie!
I couldn't decide between this extender (TP-Link Wi-Fi Range Extender with AC Passthrough) or the Netgear AC750, so I bought them both. The speeds I got are listed below:
Secretly, I wanted this one to work better because of the extra outlet, but I placed the Netgear ext in a further, more idyllic location and STILL got better results. Sadly, I took the TP-Link Extender back and kept the Netgear extender. PLEASE NOTE: It's not a bad extender at all! But for an internet box or if you do a lot of streaming, you might want to go with someone with a little more power.
