I'm a machinist by trade, so I know manufactured quality when I see it. THIS MACHINE HAS IT! It has unbelievable quality built into it. It is a lifetime piece of equipment. All manufactured from powder coated metal, with a planetary gear system on the head, along with a power takeoff on the front, much like a farm tractor. This thing is the "John Deere" of kitchen mixers.
It's no wonder why these things are so popular. They have an all but limitless amount of tasks they can accomplish. Don't waste your time with cheaper kitchen mixers that don't have the power, are a pain to clean, and burn out in a year of normal use. Buy this model and you will have it for life. Then your kids will be able to use it until they die off. This thing is that well made.
What's great about it: Built Like A Tank, Easy To Use, Unlimited Usefullness
What's not so great: Not A Thing

Now THIS Is A Computer!

I purchased this model on line from Best Buy after returning a much cheaper HP model with Windows 8.1 that I bought in the store. This computer runs the way they all should! Lightning fast performance, and plenty of USB ports to support anything you could want.
Yes, it's far more costly, but as they say, you get what you pay for, and not a penny more. This also comes with a very good video card that will support the newer high resolution, split screen, ultra wide monitors. I have a new LG Ultra Wide, Split Screen 29" monitor hooked up to it, and it's a fantastic setup. With 8 Gigs of RAM, and a 3.6 Gig Processor speed, you can have a lot of things open, and it won't slow this thing down one bit. It also has 4 different slots to support most any Memory Card out there.
I also like the fact it has Windows 7 installed, and NOT Windows 8.1, which I found to be very troublesome in the cheaper model I ended up returning because of extremely poor performance. Don't do what I did. Buy this and you'll only cry once. After you get it set up, you will be glad you spent the money. This is without question the best, and FASTEST desktop I've ever owned.
What's great about it: Rocket Fast, HDMI Ready With 2 Ports
What's not so great: Nothing

Great Monitor But Be Careful Installing

This is a fantastic monitor, but be careful installing it. DO NOT unhook your old monitor, and hook up this one. If you do you won't get a picture no matter what you do. YOU MUST FIRST RUN THE PROVIDED SOFTWARE WITH YOUR OLD MONITOR STILL INSTALLED. This configures your computer, and also automatically changes the screen resolution to 2560 X 1080, and installs the split screen software which allows this monitor to function properly.
The instructions are pictorial, and do not tell you this. Overall the instructions are very poor in this regard. It also does not tell you anywhere on the box you must have a video card that supports this high screen resolution. If you don't the monitor will not function properly.
If you have the right video card, and install the software BEFORE you try hooking anything up, you'll be in good shape. I'm not tech savvy and I struggled. But once you have everything in place, this is a FANTASTIC monitor for the money. It is very bright, sharp, and clear. Great for my aging 61 year old eyes.
What's great about it: Size, Picture Quality, Split Screen Features
What's not so great: Poor Installation Instructions, Must Have 2560 X 1080 Resolution Or Better

Don't waste your time and money

Stay away from this and purchase something better. I was drawn to this model because of it's low price, and I paid the price because I got cheap in the wrong place. This thing is as slow as molasses. I messed with it for 4 days, trying to locate and download drivers for my 2 HP printers. Then it was a disaster setting up my mail. I spent over an hour on the phone with Cox Communications tech support. I could finally get mail, but it would not hot link anything. I had to cut and paste websites to get to the links. Finally after a week I just gave up and returned the thing. I saw 2 other models just like it sitting on the floor behind the clerk who handled my refund. Not Best Buy's fault. They handled the refund promptly, with no questions asked. I'm surprised HP would sell something that operates as poorly as this. Stay away and buy something better. I finally learned my lesson, and I'm glad I did. Never again. Learn from my mistake. Don't make the same one. Windows 8.1 is NOT ready for prime time. In another year, and 350 updates from now it might be. In the mean time stick with what WORKS.....Windows 7.
What's great about it: nothing
What's not so great: slow, locks up, Windows 8.1 not ready for prime time
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
