View files or videos in custom positions with this HP Envy x360 laptop. The hinge lets you lay the computer flat, fold it for use as a tablet or prop the screen at angles to enhance your viewing experience. When you aren't streaming videos on this HP Envy x360 laptop, convert it to a traditional position for standard keyboarding action.

This laptop is pretty good. I bought it for light gaming, school, and general usage. First before I go into details, let me tell you that this laptop runs slow when you first start using it. So I bought it, turned it on, got it set up and then went onto the browser and started testing it. It ran slow. So I tested it with some other stuff, like downloading my game: Overwatch. Very slow download.
But after a day or so, it speed up, and now it runs fast. So that's why I gave it 4 stars. Anyway, onto the gaming part. So I play some steam games, but mostly Overwatch. So for all of those who play Overwatch, it can be run on here.
I play it on low settings at 30 fps graphics at 75%. It runs fine, hardly ever lags. Haven't tested it on higher settings cause I saw no reason to.(I'm pretty sure this can run other games like Overwatch too.) Now the computer itself. The 8gb ram is plenty for me, the 1tb hard drive holds plenty of space, but with a big enough SSD drive, you can make it better, while having enough storage.
The touchscreen is responsive, the 2-in-1 is nice. Backlit keyboard I love! (It lights up purple.) Doesn't have a DVD/CD drive, but I don't really need that. Keyboard is nice to type on, has 2 ways of adjusting the volume. One way is a long button on the side, and the other is the buttons on the keyboard.
Hadn't tested the HDMI connection yet. Oh, and I had a problem when the sound stopped working. You just have to do a trouble shoot with devices and hardware. Battery life is ok, lasts about 3 hours with general stuff. (I always game plugged in.)
To conclude, this laptop is nearly perfect for my needs, I would like better battery life. If you're unsure of buying this, buy this. :)
I would recommend this to a friend!

I see two different answers for the same question. I have a doubt about it. Has anyone open this laptop to upgrade memory? Has this laptop one or two memory slot?

It has 1 slot

Are their any overheating issues and can you use this laptop for light gaming?

It can get hot. But for me it cools down fast. And yes, you can use it for light gaming, works perfectly fine with Overwatch, at 30 fps and graphics at 75%. Also with my steam games, (Nuclear Throne, Gmod..) and would do very well with online browser/flash games.

I want to know what would be better in gaming, this laptop with the AMD FX, or a laptop with an i7-6500U with nVidia 940M 2GB?

Well depends on what games. This laptop works fine for me for playing Overwatch and some steam games. (The stem games aren't too requiring.) I play Overwatch at 30 fps at 75% graphics, runs fine hardly ever lags. The i7 processor that you mentioned is basically the same as the higher end i5s. But it does have 2gb discrete NVIDIA 940m graphics. The NVIDIA is a bit better, but the R7 is still pretty good, only a couple points lower than the NVIDIA. So if you must make a choice, I would go with this laptop. The graphics are good and the processor is better. If you don't like it, or it doesn't work out well, go for the other one. :)
