Better than Soundbars

i just bought my Yamaha today after having some bluetooth and remote problems with my JBL soundbar. First of all the Yamaha excels in sound for what size and weight these little speakers are. The price was $70 less than the soundbar but came out to be just a little more after I invested in 100ft of 16g wire, two speaker brackets and a high quality cable for the sub. I have only tried the bluray movies and iPod and the results are just plain awesome! My only problem is not being able to find out how to use the system for my TV shows, which may be in part to my TV not having an ARC HDMI input. To sum it up, this Yamaha system for less than $500 sounds more like a system worth well over $1,000.

Fantastic sound at half the price of competition!

I had the Bose 1SR and sent the sub in for repair. While waiting I purchased the JBL and am happy I did! I have only read two negative reviews and I believe those two didn't realize that by adjusting the two controls on the sub, your sound can be adjusted to match with the TV, DVD's and iPods, etc. I have had this system for a month and I truly believe the sound quality is as great, if not better than the Bose. Especially with the bluetooth!!
