Difficult to install, not a flat mount
on November 8, 2014

This mount is heavy-duty and will definitely hold most TVs securely. But it also won't hold the TV flush against the wall without some kind of shim on the lower side of the brace. The instructions are mediocre at best. And getting the TV on the mount is very difficult -- even for two people.
I'll bet quite a few people have dropped and destroyed their TVs trying to get it latched properly.
Go with a peerless mount instead.

Be Forewarned

First of all, let me say this is a heavy-duty mount that will hold your TV with no sag. It also provides a wide range of motion, as advertised. If that's what you need, you should consider this product.
But I have a few big problems with it that leads me to a different mount. First, the mount does not lay the TV truly flat. It angles slightly downward, even in its fully-upright position. Obviously this is fine if you are mounting the TV up on a wall but many of us aren't doing that. Since I needed a cabinet mount, the only way to make it work was to angle my mounting rack back, which is cheesy and shouldn't be needed for an expensive mount like this.
Second, the lag bolts are extremely thick and long. You need to find the EXACT center of your studs or they will split them. And because of the length you very well may punch right through the drywall on the other side of the stud. Again: shouldn't happen at this price level.
Finally, the adjustability up and down on the mount is extremely limited. There are are holes punched in the bracket but only every other hole works!! A clear design flaw.
I'd go with a different brand mount, but if you buy this one please use a contractor to install it, and be prepared for less-than-ideal results.
