The good: Right out of the box this monitor was easy to set up with out any use of the owners manual. The image it displays is very sharp and vibrant compared to other monitors I have owned in the past. The face of the unit has a very modern look being almost completely flat. There is only a little trim along the bottom edge giving it less of a boxy feel than other similar monitors. This also makes a nicer setup for dual monitors as you could put two of them next to each other and almost feel as if they were the same device. The inputs and outputs are more than what i need out of this monitor, but its nice to have them there if i ever run into a situation that i would want to use them.
The bad(very minor at that): you may have to mess around with the monitors menu buttons a bit to understand how it operates. After you press a menu button the navigation menu is displayed on the screen and you have to look at the text on the screen to know what buttons to hit.

Does this monitor have a gaming mode?

As far as i can tell it has these 5 settings User(custom), Economy(low brightness), Standard, Graphics and Movie. I've found that the Graphics and movie settings seem to offer the best color and texture for gaming.
