Not bad, great overall value for the money. For this style center, its above average, certainly about as good as you'll get for this price point in BB. The horizontal alignment is critical on this one to get the best sound out of it - use a laser pointer on the top and adjust its front height so that the laser points just above your listening position, and you'll be rewarded which sound that matches the quality of the SSCS3 towers.
Enjoy room-filling sound with this Sony Core Series SSCS3 floorstanding speaker, which features dual 5" woofers, a 3/4" super tweeter and a 1" tweeter to precisely reproduce instruments and vocals in robust detail.

Great tower for the money. The mids to highs are excellent - great dynamic range and good snap response in that range. Lows at about 70hz and less compress and not as good, pair with a great subwoofer and you have a beautifully balanced system that really shows its value. These have more dynamic range than the Pio Andrew Jones, easily worth the extra money (180 on sale). In fact, not even in same category - these hold their own and then some even compared to the Klipsch r-26f's next to them that cost $100+ more per tower and easily the Sony core tower is the better value (move up a level on the Klipschs to the 28f's at about $500 per tower and you get finally get better quality). These aren't MartinLogans, but for the price they are arguably the best value in the store when on sale. Knocked a star off due to Sony quality control - one connector lead from posts on rear was clearly never connected on assembly. Took it apart and about 5 mins later was able to fish it out, crimp, and fix.
