I purchased two sets of these for our van. After 5 months, both started randomly saying "no disc" and would stop periodically during movies. I returned to best buy as they were still under the year warranty and purchased a unit which could be installed in my roof. I was thankful to get my money back. The "holders" for the dvd players are terrible and the players will fall right out of them and you have to take them in and out of the holder to add a dvd. Just not a good design for kids.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have dvd head rest player which wireless headphones do i need?
I bought ones which were made by the same brand as our DVD player just to be sure they would work, BUT, I think if your DVD player has infrared capabilities then any IR headphones would work

How many headphone jacks are on the DVD players? I have 3 children & need 3 jacks?
just one. you can buy a splitter which would allow one of the dvd players to accomodate 2 sets of headphones

Had this a week and now it won't work at all. Have no box and receipt :( HELP
I bought this for our long road trip in July 2014. I have had this maybe a week now in the car and it will do NOTHING. Will not work at all. Everything is plugged in, etc.
I cannot find the receipt and I no longer have the box it came in.
Cannot imagine a product working a week and then broken?!!!!! HELP.

they're under warranty for a year. if best buy can look up the purchase (either with your credit card or whatever), then they will refund your money or replace them. I didn't have the receipt either but was able to find on my credit card statement when I had purchased them.
