Great fit, good sound, poor build quality

I purchased these for my wife to use at the gym, but I might pick up a set for myself. I recently purchased the Jaybird X3's, which I really love, but there's something slightly off with the fit on those that I am having trouble getting used to. I have always used Sony silicone ear tips even on other high end brand earbuds because they seem to work so well. Unfortunately the Jaybirds have a different design that isn't compatible.
However these Xb50bs are a great fit in my ears! I can move and run and bounce and shake my head with confidence that these won't fall out. Though they look big compared to the JB X3, they don't feel heavy in my ears or put any pressure or stress that would cause discomfort after extended use.
Sound quality is acceptable. These aren't audiophile grade, obviously, but are just fine for casual use or working out.
Build quality is the only area of concern. The seams between pieces of plastic are uneven or broken looking. Hopefully this won't let any sweat inside and reduce lifespan. Overall they feel cheap compared to the X3's, but they're also $50 less expensive. They come with 4 total sets of silicone tips and no foam tips, no retainer or clip for the cord, and no case or bag for storage.
Charging is accomplished using a standard micro-USB cable. This is handy in case you lose the included cable as it can be easily replaced. (The X3's have a proprietary charging clip that eliminates the possibility of dust or sweat getting inside.)
I haven't reached the limits of the battery yet, but given the stated 8.5 hour runtime, even getting a solid 6 hours would be decent and last through a weeks worth of workouts.
Overall a solid buy from a name brand in this price range.

I would recommend this to a friend!

How is the sound with watching videos? Is there a lag at all?

No noticeable lag for me while watching video on my iPhone.

How are these headphones for running? Could they stay in place for 5k - 10k or longer distances?

These feel very secure in my ears and don't move around while I'm running. The included "wings" help keep them from slowly working their way loose.

Can I buy extra tips.

Yep. These use the same tips that come with almost all earbuds.
