Binge-watch your favorite series on this Sony HDR Ultra TV, and enjoy the life-like experience of 4K HDMI. This 49-inch television features smart connectivity and is compatible with PlayStation Vue for live stream television without a cable contract. TRILUMINOS display on this Sony HDR Ultra TV ensures you see every color the way it is intended.

Dolby Vision?
on April 14, 2017

The TV seems really great. I exchanged a Vizio P55C for this because their marketing mentions that this model has Dolby Vision. I get the tv home, sign into the Netflix App, throw on Daredevil and did not see the familiar "Dolby Vision" Branding as the show loads up. I did some digging online and found that on Sony's Website there is a "1" in the corner next to the Dolby Vision branding mentioning that it will be added via Firmware update sometime this year. Can anyone confirm this? If this TV does not offer Dolby Vision, it is falsely advertising a KEY feature of the TV and the reason I decided to purchase it.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I talked to a Sony rep. The X900E will not be getting Dolby Vision, the problem is this best buy page clearing says "Dolby Vision" which was misleading. I exchanged a Vizio P55 for this set and Dolby Vision is clearly better than HDR10. I understand Sony tries to recreate the Dolby Vision, frame by frame HDR, but it is significantly different than true Dolby Vision on the P55. This is a great TV but it is no comparison between HDR10 and Dolby Vision.
