Absolute Garbage
on June 24, 2017

My husband and I each got one of these back in January. Been nothing but problems ever since. My navigation has never worked- I've done factory reset, tried to calibrate, nothing works. My husband's does it a lot too, but mine is awful. I'm a realtor, so that's one of the main things I need my phone for. I get horrible reception and constantly drop calls. Both our phones constantly freeze up. And both phones always quit charging and give a message to use the original charger... We don't even own another charger besides the ones that came with the phones. I've used Verizon prepaid for years, and this is both the most expensive and the worst phone I've ever owned. Glad to see it's on clearance. But even $80 is way too much to pay for this paper weight.

It's locked, so basically worthless
on December 5, 2016

I read the other reviews saying that the phone was locked, so I specifically asked the sales associate before buying this phone. She assured me that they sell a lot of these and she's never heard of that issue. So I bought it. Tried to activate, didn't work. Ran back to the store, and they said their system had just been updated and it wouldn't let them activate, but to call Verizon's customer service line and they could activate it for me, "no problem". So that's what I did, and they informed me that this phone is locked and there's nothing they can do. I'll be returning it tomorrow. What a huge inconvenience for a phone! Don't waste your time or money on this one.

Broke VERY Quickly
on June 19, 2015

I had a Moto G for over a year and loved it. Never had any problems.. until I dropped it in water. I tried to replace it, but after checking at 3 stores, could only find the Moto E. It was $30 cheaper than the Moto G, but worth a LOT less. Not nearly as many features as the Moto G- not even a flash on the camera. It was pretty glitchy from the beginning, but a couple weeks later the screen would go black- still rings and everything and can talk through bluetooth in my car, but can't see the screen. Eventually it will turn back on- sometimes a day later. If you push the power button and hold it down repeatedly, on and off for hours, it will eventually come up with a message that says "Android is starting.... Optimizing app x of xx... Then it will turn back on for a little bit until it decides to do the same thing again. It's done that 4 times just today and for the last 4 days straight after giving it a break for the last 2 weeks. Save yourself the trouble- search as hard as you can for the model that is $30 more and don't settle for this $70 paperweight.

LG Volt No-Contract Cell Phone for Boost Mobile: Stay connected in more ways than one with this high-powered prepaid smartphone. The 4.7" display delivers sharp, vivid colors for streaming videos, browsing social media and more, while its 4G LTE speed guarantees a fast, powerful performance all day long. Connect even further by turning your phone into a universal remote for your TV, cable box and more.

Can I use this phone with another prepaid phone service provider?

I use mine with prepaid verizon. $50/month, great service. I recommend going with the Moto G though as opposed to the Moto E. It's $30 more but will last more than 2 weeks and has a lot more features.

Will this phone accept a CapTel app?

I am hearing impaired, I need a phone that can use a speech to text such as CapTel. Also a speech to text for spoken messages left on my phone. Will this phone be able to use this type of app, or is it already in the phone?
This phone doesn't do speech to text. Go with the Moto G.. It has that feature and many many many more that are not offered with this model. And for only $30 more.
