Unbelievable How Poor The Service Is At Geek Squad
on August 9, 2015
Posted by: Bullspits
My Computer self Diagnostic indicated that my hard drive was failing. Dell customer support confirmed this online. My computer was out of warranty so I contacted Geek Squad via online chat. The online technician would not even discuss it once he heard it was a hard drive issue he told me to make an appointment with the Geek Squad.
I made an appointment ad showed up on time. When I got to the desk, I was greeted by this young lady who was unable to assist me and indicated that I needed to reach out to Dell to get back up software. I asked to discuss this with a Technician, but was told that they would not be able to assist till I got the tools they needed. I asked why the online tech did not tell me this and the young lady indicated that the online technician was a separate service and indicated that they cause them problems at the store all the time.
I brought the computer back home and we used the technician from my work who was able to Mirror the drive I had and get us back up and running for around $100!
Guess who will not be used by this family for repairs, and Best Buy will not be a place we will shop unless we absolutely need to from now on!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
